I do recommend this game. But it took me tens of hours and many attempts to actually get into it and enjoy it and this is a fairly common sentiment. But once you make it through to the castle and meet the Duke the game genuinely is all downhill and great fun from there - I just wish the story beats came a little earlier and they thought to add some quality of life; the biggest one being stamina not reducing out of combat.

The class variety is all great too, there's not much monster variety but that's really not much of an issue. It's fun to climb on monsters and hack away at them, find the weak spots etc.

Also a fun unique thing is you can play a little person AND still be considered and called a human which is rare in a genre where they're often portrayed as dwarves, gnomes etc. Your carry weight is slim to nothing but it's different. I can't think of any other game that does this vanilla tbh.

if you don't think too hard about the story the adventure you're set upon in this game is great, and the boss music is 10/10. Was fun to see where all the endwalker content came from originally!

if you're looking for a fun, interactive pvp card game try hearthstone maybe. if you're looking to recapture the yugioh games of your youth, probably better off with legacy of the duelist. if you want to sit and watch your opponent take 4-5 mins per turn, have every card be a mini essay and have your deck outclassed by whales then this is the game for you.

there's a lot I like about the game, all the different card packs the art and customisations are fun but overall idk, I think there are better online TCGs out there

best £3 I've spent in a while, amazingly fun experience with a rich world and gritty story.

I liked the game as an experience in itself but it definitely deepened my enjoyment of FFXIV so I would definitely recommend it for other fans of the mmo! The class system is fun with lots to choose from which increases repayability and could make for fun challenge runs, and the art is as always great on the remaster.

Currently slowly playing through the ff series via the pixel remaster and genuinely enjoyed this one and it's unique leveling system and the story being a bit more gritty than the first one. Decent 15h of content if you want to do all the achievements on top of the story!

Genuinely the best gaming co-op experience out there, lives up to its hype and more.

I played through the friend pass one and a half times and then bought the game to play again so can definitely say there's replayability value!

it took me a few attempts to get into this series (I'd always get to the citadel and get bored/lost) but this time idk if it was the class I picked (infiltrator), the sexy bald shepherd I had created or that I was using a 100% achievement guide to help myself through the early bits but i genuinely loved every hour spent in this universe.

the ea ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ didn't get in the way once in my 160h played don't let that turn you off and if you're seeing this at the time I'm posting it for £5 it genuinely is so worth picking up 10/10

fun coop game if you're not expecting a serious experience - lots more to it than meets the eye
