I haven't been immersed into a game this much since RDR2 or Skyrim. One of my favorite games ever.

I won't pretend this game is perfect but a lot has changed since many of these bad reviews have been posted, especially since the start of Season 2. For starters the devs have done so much to combat cheating that it is almost nonexistent now. Trusted matchmaking, ping restrictions, locking maps behind campaign progression, etc. The compensation doesn't negate cheating but it is still a nice feature.

Many people also complain about losing all their stuff and not being able to progress as fast as they would like. That just comes with the territory in these extraction shooter PvPvE games. Even though this game is much more casual than Tarkov in that hardcore aspect, the genre is not for everyone. Don't come in expecting a laid back BR. There will be times when you face major set backs, lose great gear, etc but that is all part of what makes these types of games unique. Again, its not for everyone but I don't think it warrants a negative review.

As for my opinion, I really enjoy this game. It looks good, plays smooth, and no two runs are ever the same. You can play many different play styles, questing, PvP, PvE, or just looting there is not set or prescribed way to go about things. There is a nice amount of campaign missions to give you a sense of direction and progression but its ultimately up to you how you progress. I am a big fan of similar games, Hunt, Tarkov, and Vigor and this is probably my favorite of the bunch. The polish of it is the big appeal to me and how it combines the traditional hardcore "lose your gear" element with a more casual sci fi approach.

Another big plus is the constant communication and improvements/updates from the devs. Yager does a great job listening and is really on top of things. Some people may have the complete opposite feelings as me but I think Yager deserves a lot of credit for how they have handled things and I have high hopes for the future of the game.

Haven't been able to stop playing since I got it. Little bit of a learning curve but once you get adjusted to the fact that its more of a strategic objective game and not a traditional shooter, you will really enjoy it.

Just how I remembered it!

Amazing game with a ton of potential. Anyone saying otherwise is being too hasty. The game came out a day ago and yet people still complain about small stuff. There are no bugs or anything game breaking that I've seen or heard of so well done to the devs. Changes will be made over time that will make this game even better and on top of this is the fact that it is free. There is literally nothing to complain about. Amazing concept and execution.
