Black Myth: Wukong – Beautiful, Fun in Parts, but a Bit of a Drag

Let’s be real—this game is visually stunning. The graphics are just next level, with gorgeous scenery and amazingly detailed characters. It’s the kind of thing where you stop mid-game just to take it all in.

The combat is another highlight. It’s smooth, fast, and really satisfying. Dodging, parrying, and pulling off combos feels great, and there’s a nice weight to everything you do. Honestly, the mechanics are impressively well done. That said, trying to read what a boss is going to do next? Good luck. It’s borderline impossible at times, which can be more frustrating than fun.

Unfortunately, the rest of the game doesn’t quite live up to the visuals and combat. Hidden walls? Just annoying. And the constant backtracking past enemies every time you die? It’s a slog that sucks the life out of what should be an exciting adventure.

When it comes to the price, it’s a no from me. Full price? Absolutely not. At 50% off, I’d consider it. If you love stunning visuals and smooth combat, it might be worth checking out—but for me, the grind killed the vibe.
