By far the weakest entry in the Borderlands series - an unfortunate reality given the intense hype surrounding this game after its announcement and prior to launch (ignoring the Epic nonsense).

Where Borderlands 2 succeeded in excellent story telling, world-building, meaningful talent trees, end-game content (especially), and incredible replay ability, Borderlands 3 is below-average at best at all of these.

Borderlands 3 has a sever lack of diversity in talent builds, and none of the specialization that Borderlands 2 had leading to everything just being a big mush instead of clearly separated builds. With a lack of pearlescents or other higher-than-legendary rarities and no strong raid bosses, the game falls flat on its face at level cap. The only thing to do is farm a boss countless times hoping for the right prefix + anointment combination drop of the legendary you want. The anointment system is incredibly tedious and the legendaries are mostly forgettable. Mayhem is a total non-difficulty. Everything melts instantly at the highest Mayhem level on any character with any build. There's no difficulty in this game at all. Borderlands 2 handles end-game far, far better.

The story in Borderlands 3 is decent at best, a complete ♥♥♥♥-show at worst. Everyone hates the character Gearbox is setting up to take over in whatever future content they have, so that's a tell-tale sign the writing is bad. Characters die or do things in places it completely doesn't make sense. Certain key points in the story are frustrating because it just makes you think "why the hell is my character just sitting here watching this happen?"

But the worst part of this game is by far the development studio and publisher. The fans voicing their opinions and what they want to see in the game are completely ignored time and time again and instead more of the same recycled garbage is released. The DLC in this game is atrociously priced (2 season passes is already disgusting). A lot of the story DLCs also fall flat and/or leave more questions than they give answers. A couple new guns are added but new rarities? new raid bosses? new vault hunters? nope. None of that fun stuff that people have been asking for since 2019. Instead you get... skins and weekly events. Cool.

Do not bother with BL3. Go mod BL2 - you'll have a much, much better time.

The same Mass Effect we all know and love. Just finished my first (of likely many more to come) replays of the trilogy. Can't recommend the Legendary Edition more: All the games and dlcs with new bug fixes and visual improvements in one clean package. Bottom line is: if you like Sci-Fi, you like single player story-driven games, and games where your choices matter, you can't miss this.

Also, you get to bang aliens.

If you have damn good hardware, go on ahead. Otherwise, wait.

This game is really, really good. It is perhaps the best open-world RPG I've played since Skyrim. It's a mature game with mature themes that pulls no punches, and for that it has my respect. The writing is fantastic, the story is amazing, and it's a game that sucks you in and gets you thoroughly addicted not only to the main story but perhaps even more so to the side content. The quality of world-building, character development, and story writing is absolutely top-class.

Unfortunately, this game has a lot of glitches, performance issues, visual issues, and stability issues. I'm sure by now you've seen it all online. I was able to run this game with decent-at-best framerates (20-80, very inconsistent) at 1440p on a very high-end computer. With my specs my fps should have been a hell of a lot more stable and I should not have, under any circumstances, hit as low as 20 fps. The technical state of the game is as bad as the content of the game is good.

Provided CD Projekt Red stays true to their word and fixes the game by February next year, I recommend this fully to everyone. It is a must-have and definitely my personal non-VR game of the year for 2020. But, as it stands now, if you don't have a very powerful PC do not play this game yet. You do not want your first experience of this game to be ruined by its performance. Hopefully the wait will be worth it.

A fantastic sequel to the original Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Like SOMA, this game is very scary, but the game's horror aspects are more of a sideline to the gripping story, intense themes, and amazing voice actor performances. Don't get me wrong though - this game is really scary when it wants to be. Frictional games are masters of chase sequences and let's just leave it at that.

You learn a lot more about the Amnesia Universe in this game and the lore is juicy. If you expect a balance of about 40% scares 60% story and lore, you'll have a great time in this game. Amnesia and SOMA fans should feel right at home.

This is THE definitive VR game. The game that would push VR into the forefront as a valid, fully-fledged gaming platform. Like the Half-Life games have always done in the past, Half-Life Alyx demonstrates to the whole world just how powerful, exhilarating, and convincing VR can be. The game is stunningly pretty. The controls are tight, responsive, and feel extremely natural. The puzzles are interesting and the shooting is phenomenal.

In terms of story, atmosphere, and world building, it's what you'd expect from a Half-Life game: a masterpiece. I bought my index for this game, and I can say I am thoroughly pleased. Valve, if you're hearing this: You did it.

Still can't believe this game is real lol
