Very grindy game early, the mastery system (your overall level) locks you out of alot of fun looking weapons until you rank up. To rank up you need to level up your weapons and frames, which contribute to mastery xp. you will mostly be going through all your planets very slowly doing each junctions (like a checkpoint between planets) quests and trying to figure out where to find resources to build your frames and weapons. If you are impatient this game might not be for you, as weapons usually take 12 hours to build and warframes 3 days. If you know someone who plays this game, ask for their help. Their is a referal system for new players, and having an experienced friend help can really accelerate your early game. Also no one plays this games pvp, so if your looking for that go play destiny 2.

if you can get past this the game starts becoming more fun.

the premium currency, platinum, can be traded for, mostly by selling prime parts from relics.
you can start buying more slots for frames and weapons, and exploring the vast array of weapons and frames in this game. not only the weapons, but the load of content in this free to play game from a once desperate company is mind boggling. The story line really gets going after you unlock all your planets, and is still yet to reach its big climax. On top of all that the fact that this game is free still surprises me, and that you can get by without having to spend a cent on it.

The commmunity of this game are unusually friendly for a free to play game, probably because of the lack of pvp stuff but who really knows. You will find yourself forming rag tag crews for a couple of games because your farming the same things, and help in this game goes a long way. DE really love their community, almost as much as their love for the game. These people really know how to make a fun game for their community and keep providing for them.

Lastly, their are issues with this game, don't get me wrong. I remember when i couldn't progress because of a glitched boss(the raptor glitch), but they fixed it eventually and i found myself happily surprised that devs exist that don't just leave their games to die. I was actually happy to return to this game and continue. Play this game, try it out, if you can get through all your planets without getting too down you will really enjoy this game.
