i have just beat all bosses solo, after 143 hours of playing, spread over 2 worlds with friends joining intermittently. this game is amazing, but its a huge chore, especially solo. there are huge balancing/progression issues, especially in regard to metals and how long it takes to farm them and the viability of what you can actually make with them. the flaws will slowly unveil themself to you as you play. but the experience this game offers is like no other. its everything you wished minecraft was as a kid. the game takes probably about 6 hours for it to really sink in how good it can be, so stick with it. best enjoyed with friends.

16/09/21 EDIT: I feel I have to change my review to negative after the release of the hearth and home update. We waited 7 months for this update and it pretty much amounts to nothing content wise. But aside from that, it changes the core mechanics concerning food for the worse, increasing difficulty artificially by nerfing (in the devs words, "balancing") every single food item in the game. This results in you overall having less stamina and health than you previously did. Im all for having more of a challenge, but this was not the right way to go about increasing the difficulty, it's just annoying to deal with. If you thought you had no stamina before, you really won't have any now.

probably one of the best RE titles of all time. some major FPS drops during certain areas and attacks, turning ray tracing off fixed some of them.

30 HOURS LATER EDIT: Village of Shadows knife only is physically impossible. There is an enemy you will come up against that requires 1000 hits from the karambit knife to kill. There needs an urgent patch to fix this because it is essentially a massive roadblock for knife only VoS when the rest of the game is fairly ok.
