Early Access Review
WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET

Only a couple continents available after um quite a while, but I don't think that's a negative. The learning curve starts at the Baron von Whatever air chase, until then it's building machines and enjoying beautiful bloody accidents, plus you have the sandbox. At the price I still feel it was a good purchase and visit it from time to time, get it if you want a nice looking casual 'contraption' title. Lots of people are building crazy things :)

Early Access Review
I was surprised when I got it. Finally, Immersive Open World Sandbox done right! I love it :)

If you like any Single Player Survival or exploration game I think you will love this. It's not grindy and repetitive, and not a walking simulator. In fact, it avoids many of the bad things in other games, like staring at the ground or in Inventory/menus most of the time. It lets you immerse yourself properly, and you do what you want while still having to think about surviving. Building and crafting is enjoyable. I give the Single Player 10/10.

Multiplayer is Co-op only, and I wouldn't buy it for that now (May 2017). It's certainly playable, but many servers are slow, and griefers aren't blocked yet. If it's you and friends, you can host yourself and password-protect your game and have fun, though.

If you like other Early Access games, this is a good one with updates every two weeks. If you don't like Early Access games, I recommend to not buy it until release.

More blurb:

AAA production quality, and they've nailed the sounds. High octane combat.

Violent and heavy on the gore, nudity, sick ideas, so heed the 18+ rating.

Lots of modes: Peaceful, Normal, Hard, Permadeath, Creative Mode, etc etc. The spectacular Story mode ending is in, and Hard mode just got challenging!

This is roughly where I think the minimum specs are at: Any 64-bit Windows PC with at least 4GB RAM and a not ancient graphics card. Ran fine on my Pentium G3258+HD7970, now I average 90+ FPS on a Core i7+GTX 1080.

Don't play this if you don't want a good scare. It got to me at least, with those sounds ;) A simple little gem in a cool setting. Black/white/red mode sets the mood well. No cinematics, but that's a positive, I like my games 100% gameplay. There's a bit of tedium cleaning up the 'ghosts' right before the end but that's the only negative. I think if you like open world adventure style action RPGs but also FPS shooters, or just like 'medieval stuff', this is a good little one to keep you until the next big one. I thought it was value for money for the 15 hours game time anyway. :)
