I've tried to sit back and wait to see what kind of direction the game is going before posting this review, however it is time to now do so.

Would I recommend this game? In short - No.

The game is still very uncomplete and at this point, it is debatable whether you can still call this a release or whether it should still be deemed as a beta.

The developers for the game do not seem to have any experience in what they are doing; everytime they try and fix something, they break another five things which in turns means they have to take the servers down for up to a whole day at times and disable the trading within the game for multiple days, meaning people can not sell/buy important items or speed up their leveling experience. This relates to me a lot in the sense that I work a 3 on and 3 off shift pattern, so it means I will not be able to advance my character to some extent for at least another week now. This has been repeated about four times now where they take down the server for a 3 hour maintainance which turns into 9 hours and the trading post has been disabled for three days now.

The developers do not seem to care about the EU timezone. I have seen repeated suspect moves towards the EU region dating from launch to today. When the game first launched they only opened the EU servers at first so all other regions (NA/SA/ASIA etc) all decided to join the EU servers to play and consequently EU had the biggest queue times and at times having to wait up to 7 hours to play (now imagine you only have 4 hours playing time in a day) - to now where only those in EU have a trade post restriction.

There have been stupidly simple bugs which make me question their QA team. For weeks, people were duplicating gold or turning invincible by merely moving the games window while in window mode, or by lag switching.

There is a severe lack of communication from the developers, almost at a scary level - we still have no ETA for when they will turn on trading and like stated, it has been 3 days now.

The lack of variety between mobs and regions is super dull and depressing. On launch, we had at most 6/7 different types of mobs across several regions meaning you will be fighting the same mobs at level 60 as you would at level 3.

The economy is screwed.

Burn out is very fast and strong. You will log on, find yourself idling in Everfall for an hour, doing a dungeon and then logging off.

They seem to be nerfing all the content and restricting access to them, for instance you can now only make a limited amount of dungeon keys a week and all elite chests have been nerfed horribly.

The UI has been glitching for about two weeks now massively. When you open up the trade post for example, if the town is busy - it will just close or reset on you, meaning you then have to reopen/close the window and re-search for your items before it happens again, otherwise you just get the error "item not at this trading post."

Quest lines have about three different types. "Enter XYZ area, kill 8 lost, search 3 chests", you then spend another 20 minutes running back to turn it in and obtain the next quest which is the same in a different area. This will repeat throughout the entire game.

For the past two months now, they have broken weapons - it started with fire/ice spells not registering, to the hatchet randomly doing insane OP damage beyond what it should, to now the greataxes and warhammers having super range - this makes the PvP super unfair.

I find the lack of variation between armour/weapon styles to be very demotivating.

Realistically, all of the above could be fixed with content updates over time but after the past few days and taking into consideration the past few weeks of mistakes from the devs, I have ultimately lost all trust in their abilities to succeed. They have apologised for mistakes and continued to repeat them, so they haven't learned. The past few days of the TH being down again because of fault of their own (they accidentally gave everyone 300K and rolled back servers and turned off TH) is the last straw for me.

It's a shame I can't refund the game, but ultimately I have had fun throughout the hot mess.

Good game, fun..

I was hesitant on writing this review as despite all, it is still a fairly decent game.

So I've had the game for a long long time now, pretty much since release on steam and I've seen the unbelievable progress that has happened over the months, however certain things are seemingly being untouched and are the things that matter the most to a lot of the players.

While V11 has fixed a lot of the optimization issues (or at least for me, compared to v10), the graphics within certain maps have apparently not been touched for a long time. Things as simply as trees can look like oil paintings or worse on certain maps, which makes the game really ugly to look at and spotting enemies is even harder than intended. One map in particular, the poppy fields look like actual crap and really puts a strain on your eyes.

The squads are the main focus of the game, and unfortunately, most of the squad leaders are inexperienced (there's no problem with this but when they're leading a whole team of people who are reliant on decent instructions...) and are unsure on what to do, let alone how to lead. A lot of the team dynamics are really messed up at the moment and it's a shame as it's ruining the game.

A lot of great stuff has been happening though, including the recent introduction of the British Army which really surpassed my expectations - but until they fix the textures, it's a negative review from me as it's such a massive factor in the appearance and general feel of the game.
