I will admit that thia game wasn't exactly everything I had hoped it was, but I see such great potential for further advancement. With that being said, I still find that after I had gotten through the initial, tedious beginning (much like minecraft), I began to enjoy the game more and more. I happen to like that the game is really open with only a few objectives that you HAVE to follow. Once I got my ship up and running I really enjoyed discovering new planets, star systems and such. I have read many of the negative comments about this game and I see where they are coming from. This is not an action packed game, but I never expected it to be. The planets don't look quite as varied as people may have liked, and the animals aren't either (from the small bit of the universe I have seen), but I'd like to believe that there will be minor improvements based on the criticisms posted here. I read one critic that stated there are no barren planets or moons or gas giants.....I might like to see that added in the future...but it might make certain star systems feel needless in my opinion. The ground work is laid for this game and its very function. I was beginning to get a bit bored when I met another race! If you like space exploration and a completely open world....I highly recommend you give this game a chance.
