MAHAHAHAH Good game to play with FRIENDS! This game allows you to kickasss, get some badass weapons, kill some enemies, etc. Basically a badass FPS! Totally recommended to play with bunch of friends to do some stupid badass thing!

DONT BUY THIS GAME. I'd rather play GTA IV rather than this. Altough the game mechanics (shooting, cover, running ) is awesomely good, but it's only limited to that. You got strict, linear storyline, limited and repetitive gameplay, which fun only for the first few hours. It's like only a portion from GTA IV. You can only do bank heist, etc. You cannot ride bike, go free roaming, etc.

Very nice gaming mechanics. Even the detail is good. Such as when a car hits your player's leg, you'll fall and hit the ground. Nice physics already even for a game this old (since 2007?). The Third person shooter element here is so rigid and so slow. I hate that. I would give a score of 6/10. It's an old game anyway. I like the jokes given in the game. The game detail is good (you take someone to movie and you got "likes") . You can have date. Anyway you can also get a taxi, pay money, kill the driver, take money back + car. Can do the same to hookers and hotdog sellers.

I use Lenovo Legion 5 now, previously using GTX 750, this game is worse in Lenovo Legion 5.

I played in lowest settings trying to cope with their frame drops, like when running in building with some zombies, and I got framedrops to 3-6 fps every 10 seconds which make my head dizzy/hurts. Are you guys really ready for 1.0 soon?

AS OF 2024, SINCE 2014, THE GAME STILL WILL OCCASIONALLY WIPE YOUR SAVE DATA ON A SERVER / RESET, WHATEVER the reason is (usually to follow the latest game updates) and is still alpha after so many years.

The game core is okay, but if youre the type like me who doesnt like to waste time restarting over and over and losing your progress over and over then stay away from the game!

The AI for zombie is way too smart. It can detect the weakness of your whole structure and find the weakest, fastest, easiest path -- acting not as a zombie, but as an very smart AI. You're not facing zombie, you're facing path-seeking AI.

EDIT 2024: This game still un-optimized, unpolished (walking, reloading, attacking animation still clunk), , frame-lag spikes (still happens in 2024), and if there are some of zombies and players you get reduced framerate pretty bad (this is understandable tho). Thanks to NVIDIA i can get better optimization.

I've played several more modern games and is smooth as hell (no frame lag) like Farcry 5, and I know they're both from different developrs and also one is still EAG, but as for now if there's still some performance issue and if your computer isn't really well built, I suggest buy this on sale and see how it performs. It game cores have no problem.

EDIT: 2019's version is an unforgiving early environment for beginners. Zombies are tough and dangerous, and location of friendly base is too far. Watch out, beginners, your bravery is being tested.

The A18 version is made to you to be more of a scavenger. Previous version made you like a base player, with a wall and self sustaining food everything is ready. Now, devs encourage scavenging even more, with no farming abilities and created vehicles.

Got this amazing game from my best friend though we havent met in real life at all.
This game is good (for me) if you play with some friends you know (not alone or in public dedicated server), starting from total scracth.

You definitely contribute to the team, whatever it is. Be it a scout looking for incoming horde and keeping other safe, or supply gatherers that loots houses, or chop down trees, be it cook and food supply mastery, and so on.

Whatever action you can do to make sure your fellow survivors survive is needed. Totally recommended. Especially for the upcoming update. This time the devs really put some hard work in this game, and I can see why this game has such positive reviews. Yet, I'm still waiting to be surprised even more by this game.

What I love as well is the horrifying moment when you have to lay low for the rest of the night, hearing mysterious sound of zombies passing by, hoping they wont notice you, break down your defenses and eat you up...

If you got the right comrade/friends to do this, this game will be awesome. Either starting from scratch, building bases, putting up defenses, scavenging, etc, or join a well fortified fortress and experienced players, then start scavenging operation with loading rifle and the best gear in town. When in the dead town, you can do some scavenging mission. You spread out, but need to stay close so the voice chat keeps on the connecting. Then you cover each other, loot some items, shoot some zombies that runs like in L4D2, and retreat to base...

Cons:
-Zombies are way too smart / AI is too smart. They can navigate abandoned, empty maze-like building interior with ease and can exactly pinpoint/knows my location and find closest point of entry, like window or barricade.
-Zombies have very high agility. They can easily jump over other zombie and be on top of them, on the ledge, on the edge of building and not fall. They can seemingly easily "coded" to jump over holes and not fall into them. You are not facing zombie -- you are facing smart agile robot in the form of a zombie.

This game united me and my online friends and became squad for life, the Night Team. This NMRIH is our ultimate game, beside Minecraft.

An awesome,simple yet realistic gameplay of zombie apocalypse. You can gather medkits, weapons and ammos, but they are limited. You must use them carefully, or you will have to use melee and make your way out of the infected city.

If infected, you can kill yourself.

A good game to play with friends to coordinate movements, tactics, attacks, assistance and face the objective together to finish the map. Just launch the game, find room, and play.

WHAT THE HECK? I paid $1 just for ONE alternate custom for EACH ONLY ONE character? Sam B only got one, and the rest got one. So I just paid money for ONE alternate costume ? I could not believe this, how gaming industry really trying to get some money by selling ONE ONLY alternate costume for each character, whilst I cannot see them myself. Honestly now I regret buying this DLC. WatchMojo (Youtube channel) should include this as useless DLC.

Terraria is like 2D side scrolling Minecraft. I bought this because of the sale, the house decorating sensation, and exploring the deep sensation as well.

Been wanting this kind of game since the first Dead Island came out on XBOX360. Never got a chance to truly buy the game, only tried it. Got tried the Dead Island Riptide, but was not really interested, until the game went sale on steam...

An amazing co op zombie game. You like to play alone? Then you can go scavenge the city, or jungles, or beaches, for weapons, supplies , money, and gears. Let these zombies come crawling into you as you make your way into the urban village or the jungle, dealing one by one with the dead.
You wanna play with other people? Go ahead, gather up to other 3 players on the island where everyone except you and some survivors, are now dead, or becoming the undead.

I love the weapons and how you can improve them. You can scavenge weapons in the wild, or get special weapon as quest reward. Plain weapons can be crafted, modified into any recipes you have found, turn them into better, stronger weapon to suit your playstyle. Melee styles can use blunt or blade weapons, then modify them with electric, fire or poisonous mod. You can also use assault rifles, handgun, and shotgun. You can also activate special skill, Fury, which can be unleashed to kill enemies faster and deadlier.

What's more, you can one shot even tough zombies to the head, perhaps, so far, as I have found, not limited by their level. You can instakill downed zombies with some passive skills for certain characters. Each characters have their own specialty and certain set of skills, ranging from Combat to Survivality. One has blunt weapon specialty, blades, throw weapons, guns, hand to hand,etc. Oh, talking bout level. The zombies also grew stronger and their level will try to match yours, making the game more challenging.

Other friendly players can also jump in into your game, help you out. You can also search the lobby for games with same/lower chapters and you can jump RIGHT INTO IT and help em out. In the darkness of cave/facility, you can use your flashlight or your flares.

This game is great. Has awesome game mechanics, gameplay, graphics, and storyline.

Now I understad why lots of people were talking about this game. This game is awesome.
Good for Co-op, good for single player. Lots of weapons, loots, killing, and I love the skill build system.
The metascore that steam provided does not lie. The game is totally recommended and I think this game should be a popular game again amongst it's older and new players.
