I won't lie, this game isn't a *gem*, but it's certainly the 2nd best EA Star-Wars Game following Jedi Fallen Order.

The Flight aspect is *glorious*, though. It's wonderful. As good as many other flight sim games I've seen/played. Smooth flight controls on my Joystick, extremely immersive, and the cockpit view doesn't give me motion sickness (even though I've gotten motion sickness from other flight games)

Customization options: Each fighter has multiple different weapons, shields, hulls, auxiliary weapons/gadgets, and anti-missile countermeasures to choose from. Each fighter *does* feel unique, with the Fighters being the middle-ground, the Bomber is slow but hard-hitting, the Gunship is a tanky support weapon, and the Interceptor is a fast and maneuverable fighter/bomber killer.

**SPOILERS! STORY TALK BELOW**

The Story is above average. I get that Disney doesn't like the Bad Guys to win, but Squadrons gives us a middle ground. Imperial character achieves their Objective and leaves, Rebels save the day and the 'Squadron Commander' survives after a fake out death (Again...) Honestly that trope alone brings the game from an 8/10 to a 6/10

It also does a decent job of filling in most of the details following ROJ.
