Enlisted, for me personally, is hard to recommend.
For a WW2 shooter, it's alright. But, the developers don't care too much about their community unless it finds something that publicly embarasses them.
Caution: Text wall below.

TLDR:
- Hilariously bad English translations (Hilarious, right?)
- Free content removed
- No Oceania servers (Australia & Asia don't exist!!!)
- Poor balance (It's possible to fight people 2 BRs above you!)
- Faction Stacking (Majority of 'sweaty' players play Germany or Japan)
- Fun not allowed. (You *will* suffer.)

Rant time!

As of recently, it's following in the footsteps of War Thunder.

It locks better, cooler gear behind paywalls.
The events are *extremely* short or tedious.
It has even butchered its own battlepass model in a way identical to Gaijin's own War Thunder. I am not even beating around the bush here. Gaijin(tm) at its finest.

Let me elaborate:
Before, Battlepasses used to have unique, standalone vehicles or skins, as well as up to three different and unique weapons.

There used to be a currency called "Golden Orders" which were used to obtain rare weapons, tanks and soldiers. (Remember when Golden Wagers were a thing? Yep, they're doing it here too.)
You could earn this currency simply by logging on, completing achievements or as rewards from events.
The Golden Orders could be used in a special store section, allowing you to pick *whatever* weapon, vehicle or soldier you wanted, provided you had the Gold Order to redeem it.

That currency has since been removed. Now, battlepasses have only one vehicle camouflage and ONE unique weapon. Gold Orders were also removed.

Now, the only way to obtain any of the previous unique items is when the "Silver Chest" is temporarily added to the store. This chest costs 5k Silver, about 5+ matches worth, IF you perform very well.
Sound familiar? Yep. It's the exact same thing they do in War Thunder.

It's gambling. Gaijin is promoting gambling. You might be fine with gambling. Good on you. But for some, gambling is an actual addiction. The EU passed a law some time ago regarding gambling mechanics.
Gaijin thinks they're exempt from it. They are not.

They have employed a similar model in other games they have "published", I would know because I have played most of them. Gaijin is no different a publisher than EA in terms of ethics. They are simply looked over for being a non-american company.

Monopoly cash-grabbing aside, Enlisted CAN be a great game, at times.
Despite whatever the game tells you, it is possible to fight people with gear two tiers above you.
Enlisted plays like a clunky F2P shooter, it has it's charm.
However, Enlisted is by no means a battlefield, but you can tell that it tries to be.

After RETO-MOTO shut down their titular Heroes & Generals, they left open a void.
Enlisted fills parts of that void, but not completely.
