Already having so much fun!

Hey... it a classic for a reason.

I like it

I adore this game. I played it trough on Normal in under 2 hours, and that was with several backtracking. It is cute, the look of the game is for the most part precious. The soundtrack got a bit repetitive if you stay too long in an area. But design wise I loved the enemies, the weapon was fun (albeit the auto aim got the better of me sometimes). And for the bullethell bosses I felt I sometimes couldn't hit the boss because I couldn't aim the gun as the aim is limited to 8 directions, akin to Super Castlevania 4.
I did not think of it earlier as I played with a PS4 controller, but I would like to see a mouse controll option with free aim and WASD controlls to replace arrows for movement and R-Mouse and L-Mouse to replace A+S/Z+X buttons. It also felt awkward to have "Progress the talk" to be on the shooting button and not the jump button. This was a small note from a habbit of all other games, but did not hinder me in any way.

I have 2 clips from my first playtrough, as it happened live on stream, that I feel needs to be looked at. One being stuck in the "Locked Door" dialogue box and other being a hard softlock requiring a reboot.

I definitely want to return to this and get the achievements, probably on stream again. People in chat also enjoyed it. I would give this one a solid 64%/100% as a whole.
What pulled it down was the auto aim, some tiles that were outside the area. Some pits did not have me fall. The music was good untill too long exposure. There were some personal opinion to trinket distribution. Like Battery Pack that is gotten at the start is way more powerful than it should be. Reasoning is because this made the range of your weapon longer than all of the flamethrower enemies attack and you could cheese some kills with the extra distance. It being there on extreme would be ok, but on Normal it could've been put in one of the two upper floors. Personal opinion, mind you.

I will recommend this game, and I did recommend this game. It is a wonderful game for the price, and it is an awesome first release!

I like it a lot. It is grindy as ♥♥♥♥ to unlock cards, so I used cheats for that. But other than that it was dandy.

It is a real fun game. A bit on the easier side, has some RNG aspects. But all in all I feel this could be a real good first rouge like game for people to meet the genre. :)

If you have not played this game, no need waiting.
