Voice acting, music, visual style and side characters are all amazing here as to be expected from CBU3 (FFXIV devs)

Story is best in the first 2/3, still some great moments in the final third but admittedly becomes a bit tropey - make sure to do as many side quests as possible, while the actual gameplay of them can be kinda dull, there's so much good story in these, especially in the endgame ones.

Combat is generally fun for the whole running length, though you do have weirdly long gaps at the start between getting new abilities, then get a ♥♥♥♥ load pretty much right before the end of the game.

DLC is good too, Echoes of the Fallen is short but sweet (the final boss is so good), yet to finish The Rising Tide but seems like it adds a decent amount of extra content.

Overall a wonderful adventure and an easy recommend if you enjoy Final Fantasy, even the turn-based entries. Extra special recommend for FFXIV enjoyers, much of this will feel familiar in a (mostly) good way.
