This game has been abandoned by the developers outside of seasonal events. There is currently a crisis involving an overwhelming number of botted accounts flooding servers and making the game nigh-unplayable for others. There also has not been a major content update since 2017. If you're looking to play an actively supported game, Team Fortress 2 isn't for you- and it hasn't been for years.
