Old review below.

Dead by Daylight has been a roller coaster for a while but they have gotten their act together in recent years. Knight and skull merchant being a notable exception. They game has been in the best state. Constant updates, patches, and dlc have made it one the the most re-playable games on steam. Notable licensed killers and franchises have made it one of the most iconic games in the horror genre. If you are a fan of horror there is definitely something for you here.

Notable downsides to playing dbd is that it is extremely expensive to get into if you want all the dlc. If you are starting fresh it is a big financial investment. This isn't even taking into account the skins in the in game shop. Most egregious is the players sometimes. The player base has a "Rule book" of sorts or a unspoken rule set that if you do not abide by they will get upset. Most of the times this isn't an issue at all but sometimes you will find those people that will make you feel like a piece of ♥♥♥♥ for playing the game how you want to play. Again this isn't the fault of the game but more of the minority of players that act this way.

Overall i would highly recommend dbd if you are a fan of horror or like playing with friends. If you do pick up dbd i would suggest these dlc's (Especially if they are on sale)

*Hellraiser (My personal favorite as Hellraiser is a fan favorite movie of mine. The killer is also very well designed.)
*Resident evil (Both chapters. Adds a bunch of perks and characters if you are a avid fan of the franchise. Both killers are fun to play as well.)
*End transmission (The latest dlc as of writing of this review. Good chapter with an interesting killer with perks on both sides that are fun to use)
*Sadako rising (Just buffed sadako as of writing and overall a great chapter)
*silent hill (If you are a fan of silent hill its a must. Would warn however that the perks are not so good if you are buying for perks. Killer is ok.)

(Hellraiser nft drama)

Yet again bhvr is doing something that ruins the game and also the environment. What a combo! It feels like they are trying to one up themselves. I know that there are good people at bhvr but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ does the bad out weight the good. Whoever is running the show is really trying his / her best to make the game unplayable and suck all the goodwill out of the players by supporting nfts. I thought i would never see the day this game would support nfts but i guess its a new low for them. I would say boycott the game but it seems that it just doesn't even matter anymore. What i will say is please play VHS or Propnight. We need to actively show bhvr that this is unacceptable and that other games will overtake them.
