This game made me feel incredibly miserable and drained after finishing it. Nothing about playing it will make you feel good or positive and its perfect because of that. Would completely defeat the message of the story if it wasn't as miserable as it is to play through

Started off thinking it's a sort of expansion, ended up getting a full blown sequel. There's a ton of new stuff added that I feel is as good as and sometimes better than the original.

Quiet possibly the best comic book videogame narrative I've ever experienced. I even think it's way better than both movies and I doubt any of the comic book runs for the Guardians come close to the writing of this game. Gameplay is basic, but the narrative I'd say is definitely worth experiencing.

Easily one of the best boomer shooters of all time. Gameplay never gets old, and the game always encourages you to get better and better. Upgrades and new abilities are worthless if you don’t learn how to play the game. Organic game progression in shooters at its finest.

The port's a lot more stable now. Stuttering is pretty minor and incredibly infrequent. If you were on the fence due to the performance issues, don't be. It's nothing like how the game launched.

DO NOT BUY SPECIAL EDITION IF YOU'RE GETTING A PS5 OR SERIES X/S!!!
The Special Edition's price is 40 bucks where the only new additions are Legendary Dark Knight mode (which experiences heavy frame-drops as we've seen from the gameplay) and Turbo mode which you can mod in and even customize on PC. The PC version is a lot cheaper and modders are already adding in Turbo and LDK for free while Capcom just drains the money of Console players. Special Edition focused more on Raytracing, a feature any character action fan shouldn't care about due to the fact that you'll be too focused on the gameplay and your combos rather than looking at how shiny the puddles are. We're still getting Vergil's DLC. You can't even use LDK or Turbo modes in Raytracing mode, which is the feature they've hyped up a lot for the Special Edition. The PC version is cheaper and has more content to play with including more costumes and even a PVP mod. SE is worthless if you can get DMC5 on PC, which is also the cheaper version.
