Disco Elysium took me 3 tries to get through. On the first two I didn't give it the time it deserved and ended up quitting and restarting because I couldn't remember enough of the plot to continue playing it months later. Finally on the third play-through I've finished the game, and it is one of if not the most beautiful, intelligent, entertaining, and emotionally impactful video games I've ever played. This is a game for readers, as everything is conveyed through text, though the brilliant voice acting is extremely helpful if you'd rather listen than read. If you can get past the hurdle of reading everything and a slightly frustrating walking speed, I have no other complaints about Disco Elysium. Every character is interesting, the game's visuals are gorgeous, the music is outstanding. There was never a time that I felt lost or that I ran out of things to do, the game is constantly and consistently engaging. If you haven't played Disco Elysium, do yourself a favor and set aside around 25 hours or so, because you definitely will not regret it. 10/10 will definitely play again.
