I like this game, I have about 100 hours in the first title.
All characters at level 20, town fully upgraded, NG+ on the Rogue in this game.

This title feels like it's lacking some free content/charm compared to the first game; I'm confident the devs will put in the work to make this the definitive HOH experience over time, I'd just like to see it first.

Local co-op using a shared character pool (steam deck in mind) would really make this game a killer.

One of my favorite roguelite games.
Runs like a dream on Steam Deck!

If you give a billion monkeys a billion typewriters and a billion hours, you'll eventually get Shakespeare.
If you give me a copy of Slay the Spire and about 270 hours, I'll get ascension level 11 on each of the four characters.
Excited for the sequel.

Now that we fixed the PSN issue, let's get rid of the intrusive, non-effective anti-cheat!

Great game!
Only listing review as negative to voice two complaints.

1. You should be able to edit classes without being in game.
2. There should be a required training to be eligible for leading a squad (how to build, rally points, etc)

Dont get me wrong, the actual gameplay is fun, I like the XCOM / Deck strategy elements. But you're not playing that aspect of the game more than 45% of the time.

After each mission, there are a bunch of "to-do" type tasks, which involves running around and outside the mansion, picking up random shiny things, upgrading, training, etc. sometimes there are cool dialogs that happen between characters, but for the most part you're just watching your character run around the map for about half an hour as you scour the map to make your characters less sh!t. It isn't just 'not fun', infact, it's ANNOYING because if you don't spend your half hour plus putzing around the map, you get punished by lacking the resources you need to compete in the later game. It just feels like BAD GAME DESIGN.

Also, I have a relatively powerful system, my game crashes consistently no matter what settings I run on. 2070TI, and i9 13700K, 32 gbs of ddr5; I shouldn't be having as consistent problems as I was.

Less fluff and more action would have made this GOTY in my eyes, but the dev team just fell short.

But the combat doesn't suck.
