If you crave more Half Life 2, there you go. Well crafted for basically a zero budget project. Intriguing story that doesn't interfere with HL canon. Cool twist seeing the world from a Civil Protection cop perspective.
The last fight is kinda not good though, but the rest is really fun.

One of the best in the genre.
If you ever played any FPS action game this is one of it's daddies.

Also, I am still not smart enough to play a space wizard.

It is the same game as it was in 1994.
Only difference is that it doesn't play like a flight sim.
So a great game turned into a must play.

NFS Unbound is a tough one to make an assessment about.
I bought it at a steep discount as I was also hesitant at release.
It does not reinvent the wheel and is basically an Evolution of what Heat brought to the table.

The first NFS helmed again by Criterion (NFS:MW 2012), I expected it do feel very much different to the titles by Ghost Games.
This is not a bad thing though, as by Heat, the formula felt thought through.

As one would expect, the story is just there, but let's be honest, it has been like this since any NFS game had a story. I also didn't feel annoyed by it so that's that.
Driving, once you get the hang of the arcady handling of the cars feels very good. The game basically makes
sure that you feel like a driving-whizz in every car and corner.
The big highlight is the customization of the cars which feels basically endless. Every car has some interesting bit to modify and paint like you imagine it (or how talented you are).
The other hightlight in my opinion, are the cop chases. They never feel to easy, as the police are quite persitent in keeping up with your car, as well as new cars spawning in in fair intervalls.

Of course, the elephant in the room are the stylistic choices with the more comic styled smoke clouds and characters. I think it gives the game some form of visual identity though it feels not executed very well.
Next time just commit to it fully or leave it be, Criterion.

I quite enjoyed spending my time with this new entry in the series, even though I understand that it might not be everyone's cup of tea.

When it was announced, I was of the opinion that a complete remake of Resident Evil 4 should not be made.
Well... Capcom has proven me more than wrong. This is the definitive version of the game. Like RE 2, this is worth every penny even at full price.
Every bit that felt tedious from the original game is improved and streamlined.
The story and dialogue, though not as cheesy as the original it still very much jumping the shark as it did in 2005.
Shooting feels tight, movement is just the right amount of fast yet still tanky.
If you enjoy any Resident Evil game this one is a must buy.

Even though I love this game to death, I just cannot recommend playing it on PC.
The optimization is a mess and makes me wish the same studio that is handling the Spider-Man games would take a shot at this.

However I am hopeful this port will be fixed in the future, since TLoU is the biggest pull for PS right now.

I will update my review once a fix for this is here.

A great first person shooter reminiscent of Blood.
Spiced up with some truly pant soiling horror bits.
10 bucks is a steal for this gem.

Just like RE2 Remake, this game is one of the best remakes of all time.
Even though it does not reimagine the game a whole lot and plays its really more beat by beat like the original, it is still great fun.
A huge improvement is in the graphics department. The newest version of Frostbite makes this look like we all remember how Dead Space looked like in 2008.

Make yourself whole again and play it!

I didn't think it would be, but Midnight Suns turns out to be one of the best Marvel games out there.
The plot is of course your world ending mumbo jumbo but very well executed to give each character in the truly great cast selection a time to shine.
There is no other game where you get to know each of these comic book characters like here.
The gameplay is also very endearing with a mix of XCOM and Darkest Dungeon.
Midnight Suns can sit proudly next to Batman: Arkham Asylum and Marvel's Spider-Man as one of the best comic book hero games out there.
