Another really enjoyable Quantic Dream title. The characters and writing pull you into the world effortlessly as you play.

Scratches the ATC game itch perfectly.

The most fun I've had in a RPG since Fallout New Vegas. I was so hooked, I played straight through it over a long holiday weekend. I've still got the stellar soundtrack stuck in my head months later.

Just finished the 2nd case and am unfortunately considering putting this game down.

Bought it on sale because I enjoyed Crimes & Punishments so much. This game is definitely no Crimes & Punishments. It features the same mechanics, but dumbed down, add in the lazy and unimaginative writing of the cases (the solution to case 2 is a poor imitation of "The Sign of Four") and there's really very little to redeem this title.

What is added, the action scenes and environmental puzzles, are more irritating than challenging, utilizing a poor control scheme and going on for far too long. The most disappointing part of this game for me was finding that once you solve a case there is just a short conclusion and no eplilogue. You'll get to see the suspect arrested, killed, etc, but then it just transitions immediately to the opening of the next case like the one before never happened. Completely unsatisfying.

In the end, I can't recommend this game to anyone.

I really hope that the next entry goes back to what makes these Holmes games great, strong storytelling and involving detective work.

An immersive RTS city builder with a focus on commerce, resources, and trade. While I found the core campaign rather boring, the sandbox mode is very satisfying and well-worth the price of admission.

A seriously good game, going back to Fallout 3 from this really brought it home. Fallout: New Vegas has less bugs (not the creatures), better environments, more interesting characters, and is overall just a hell of a lot more fun than its predecessor. The one caveat: if you want to experience any of those qualities avoid the Dead Money DLC.
