I played a 100+ hours of this game, only so that I replay the whole game again...
I don't care if you like this game, I don't care if you just want "Skyrim in Space", this pile of ♥♥♥♥ stole 100 hours of my life and then told me to waste another 100 right afterwards.
This is by far, the worst game I've ever played.

I'll be brief and say that this game has it's up's and down's, it's at times frustrating, the beginning is slow and the game seems to spend an endless amount of time going nowhere at all... At least until you go Behind The Curtain...

It's an exploration lovers wet dream, a game that simply sets you on a remote area in Sweden, and you get to go wherever you want, loot and upgrade until you've basically scavenged an entire nations worth of plastic, steel and gunpowder.

The game expects you to play it, fight through hordes of machines and put two and two together as you spend time trying to uncover the great mystery of "why the ♥♥♥♥ are there no NPC's in this game?". Don't expect this game to explain itself to you, if you want answers, then go look for them.

A last word of advice is that, this game is not meant to be played alone, although it does work, it gets very lonely, repetitive and boring if you don't have a second monitor to keep you company. Get it on sale with 2-3 friends, and go out there and destroy some Machines För Fan!

I want to first say that I used to really enjoy this game, and for a long time been hopeful even after all the problems, from nerfs, to Sony and lack of content, but at this point i'm done.

I don't know who at Arrowhead is tasked with weapon balance, but they might be some of the most inept people at the company, doing a worse job than the janitor at this rate.
This is now the third time that meta weapons have received a serial nerf, making them as bad as all the other forgotten weapons that some poor development team made, and have been made useless because some dent-head, doesn't understand that nerfing isn't the best solution to fix a meta problem.

This is on top of the massive drought in content, because a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ battlepass doesn't constitute as content, when the only reward are more weapons that you'll never use, armours that serve no purpose and cosmetics you don't like.
The game needs more mission variety, not higher difficulties.
The game needs more enemy types, not more weapon nerfs to make enemies "feel" stronger.
The game needs more balancing, because constant nerfs in a PvE game doesn't work.
The game needs an actual war, not a repetitive set of "go here, kill this" or "defend this, receive this"
The game needs actual content, like drawn out multi-stage missions, convoy escorts, base construction, boss like enemies, larger maps with multiple ongoing missions, hive assault missions that go inside Termid hives and i could go on and on...

This latest "update" is incredibly weak, because the status quo the game is stuck in is still there Arrowhead, a new mission type and swamp biome isn't going to fix the repetitive nature of the game, which is the core problem that needs to be fixed, aside from the massive balance problems, that make the game annoying to play, because you're forced to use 1-2 weapons or strategems, since they're the only ones that work on higher difficulties like 7+.

Look at what Warframe's developer Digital Extremes does, take inspiration from them and understand that weapons sometimes have to be a little overpowered, and that all weapons must have a use, because otherwise what is the point of adding them?

I wish you good luck Arrowhead, because I do genuinely want this game to be good, but unless you start listening to the players and what we're saying, you'll keep losing players month after month, and only have yourself to blame...

This game is... So ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken, unfinished, and unplayable

People have already said everything else, but i've never had such a bad time trying to play what is meant to be a new battlefield. Immediately when starting the game, they advertise other Battlefield games, they then thrust you into a tutorial that you can't skip and takes 15 min. After that you're meet with 3 modes to play, Portal that doesn't give any XP so it's pointless, Hazard Zone that nobody plays, and lastly Quickplay, because for some reason there's no server browser... Yeah... Not of to a good start.

When i then get into a game, i'm subjugated to a server latency i haven't felt since i was a console gamer, lag that borders on seizure inducing, and frame drops every time i shot my gun. This wasn't because my 3070 or 7600K couldn't handle it, it's because the game doesn't know what the ♥♥♥♥ it's doing with your PC if it isn't top of the line.

EA and DICE showed us years ago, that they can make a decent product, BF1 is a testament to that, and BF4 gives people hope that this "game" could fix itself and get out of the bin of "investor money laundering" that this series has become.

If you give a ♥♥♥♥ about the quality of you games, don't buy it (maybe wait a year?), but if you're another casual gamer looking for a slice of Battlefield and don't understand anything i've said... Sure, buy it and rant about how "iT's NoT tHaT bAd"

It is that bad... ♥♥♥♥ 2042!

I mean... It's cool and all, plus we support Keen as these help keep the employees paid.. But can't you include more content per pack or fix the bugs and engine problems first? Something like this seems to just be avoiding something the community is already mostly unhappy with, since these don't really fix the problems with the game.

Please... Fix the endgame and the bugs, we will keep supporting you Keen but not if your game is unplayable or not enjoyable like it is in it's current state.

Early Access Review
Wow, they listened... And they've broken their backs to deliver what seems like twice the content we started with. Seriously, this is crazy impressive for such a small newbie team.

The newest update fixed a lot of what was missing and wrong with the game, infact this is what the game should have been like at launch. With an entire new nebula with twice the amount of missions as the first nebula, 12+ scenes for almost every character, tons of story and dialogue and amazing cutscenes, suddenly it's starting to feel less like an Alpha and more like a fully realized game.

I've only played for 14 (At the time of review) and yet i've still got tons do to, see, and... enjoy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It's a perfect time to get this when it's on sale, and smoother yourself in Demi's cheeks, Lily's mammoth milkers, Eli's bratty attitude, and the vast mysteries within The Prodigium.

If you still want a game where every dollar is equal to an hours play, then it's still not quite there yet, but you should honestly support the game, so it gets to that point. Studio FOV doesn't really have the same support and backing as EA, Ubisoft, or other AAA so they kinda need people to buy the game.

If you're gonna fap to it, then at least have the decency to support the people that made your wank material... Wanker.

A game that made me cry after just a few hours of play time, and made me feel like i was in the Blade Runner Universe and has for me lived up to the hype.

To then swiftly break my pc, hardlock my system and force me to reinstall windows because of how insanely broken it currently is, as of 12/12-20. The reason i only have 15 hours is because i literally can't play more of this amazing game, without my system being destroyed.

And for those wondering, i have a 9600K and a 3070, so no it's not my system being ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Edit: The game still sucks ♥♥♥♥... Don't buy it (yet)

This game is a broken, underdeveloped mess, that gets boring after hack and slashing the same low poly 2004 model, that some designer made on their first deviant art account.

So why would i recommend somethings that is so clearly someones deviant art project, that they've been making on and off since 2007?

Because this game for all it flaws gave me a boner! The female model is good quality, the boob and boot physics are good, the animations are great although the models are horrible. This game is trying to blend together all the XXX mods from Skyrim with a game that is still technically a game, but where the porn is definitely in focus. But there are 2 primary reasons i bought this game.

1. Because it might be something good in the future, and we might have a No Mans Sky launch, but the team might work their hardest to make it into what everyone wanted it to be. The game has MASSIVE potential, and supporting the small team making it is something you should consider if you like XXX games.

2. The game is unique, there aren't alot of "good" porn games, because most of them are either Summer Time sage point and click, or Gacha games like Nutaku want you to nut to in 5 seconds. Games like Subverse and this are setting a new trend in the gaming book, where a game can have XXX elements, yet still be a enjoyable game, without having to limit itself it simple mechanics because one hand is one the keyboard and the other is in your pants.

If you're like me, and want a porn game that can give you a boner because of the pornographic content, but also because it's a good game, then supporting people like these might speed things up.

If you're from Youtube because of Ultimate Apocalypse, then what the ♥♥♥♥ are you doing looking at reviews, BUY IT ALREADY!

But if you're looking for an actual review... Here goes!

Pros:

Larger battles compared to DoW II and DoW III
Awesome modding support
Much more replay ability

Cons:

Old graphics
Buggy and prone to crashing
Modding is a must to make the game really enjoyable

More detail...

Compared to Dawn of War II and III, this is a bloody masterpiece!

With the larger maps, army sizes, and less captain of a squad feeling, the game has an overall much better feel for the universe of 40k. The awesome battles than can be made between your favorite factions in 40k, and seeing Necrons, Eldar, Imperium, and Tau all on the same big map fighting for resources is just pure awesomeness.

The mechanics are also much more simple, and learning each faction takes a game or two, and then you pretty much understand how they work. Each faction is very similar, so its mostly the few unique things like Tau battlesuits or Necron destroyers that make each faction really stand out.

Sadly the real meat of the game is hidden under mods, but luckily it doesn't take long. The mods for this game are pretty extensive, and the most infamous of these being Ultimate Apocalypse making into Supreme Commander with 40k.

Also the game is rather buggy, and in my 200+ of gameplay with mods, i've crashed over 15 times being a mixture of pushing the engine too hard, and just looking at the menu the wrong way.

All in all the game is fantastic, and if you're a 40k fan wondering wether this is better than DoW II or DoW III, this game will beat it any day! But for the real fun, you will have to mod the game, but that's not very hard luckily.
