The hardcore side of the game is really good if 4 of your mate play for the victory.
1. Do not go mm without full team.
2. If you have no friend go play faceit people want to win at least there (if you want more challenge too).
3. CSGO is not only about the 5v5 competitive, surfing, kz & way more other mod are really funny and more casual friendly And playing those other "mod" will still helping you to improve in some way for ur competitive :).
4. There is a lot of cheater on this game, but the most annoying thing its bad player that call you for cheating and then they become the best player ever (yes cheater are crying to cheat for nothing and they TOGGLE ...)
5. You can have so much fun with other people on casual mod honnestly, i remember being depressed af and go in casual just to talk to random people (not serious talk obviously just humour).

This game is worth a try. If you are casual this game offer a lot of funny mod for you if you are competitive player this game is like the best fps strategy for competitive (but still in my mind R6S is better than cs)
