As a recovered War Thunder addict I can sniff out all the same monetization schemes and nonsense that comes from a Gaijin product. Frustrating squad command mechanics that end up leaving your squadmates as nothing better than spare respawns.

This is the best of the entire Men of War/Call to Arms series. There's a TON of base game content, don't bother with the DLC unless you want the western front (Liberation DLC). Otherwise, there's many GBs of modded content on the Workshop.

Play the tutorial missions, they're fun and simple. Then jump into a campaign or do some skirmishes. There's a lot to learn but you pick it up really fast. Maybe the hardest part of the game is vehicular strategy. Keep infantry in cover, NEVER put your tanks alone/ahead of your infantry, and USE RECON!!! Take some fellas and do a little spotting, it will save you some incredibly frustrating or discouraging moments in the future.

First time I hear anything significant about this game in 2 years is about them cancelling content. Don't buy this slop.

Expansion pack already? Why'd you cut out all that content to sell it twice? I don't care that I already got it on sale, I'm not paying the savings to have day one DLC.

If you don't enjoy this game, you should try getting friends.

Maximum Entertainment bought the company, gutted the team, and released a character so unpolished, the former staff are asking players to ban the new character or play on an old version of the game. I haven't played in a good while, but I'm just here to add to the pile of negative reviews that'll be rolling in.

It's more frustrating that the game is mediocre than when it was just bad. Random bot headshots, bug double-taps that you can't avoid. There's too much frustrating with the overall game for fiveish weapon buffs to be considered a fix. The game needs a lot more work before it's worth $40.
