This game is utterly astounding, probably some of the finest graphics I've seen - and I don't mean just texture & mesh quality, its one of those games which has such artistry and detail that you fall into a trance playing it. Beautiful scenery and immersion - over 30 hours in and still nowhere near completion, searching every nook and cranny because exploration and completing hidden objectives is an utter pleasure.

VERY well optimized, never found a bug, never crashed and runs far beyond expectation on Steam Deck. drop the graphics options to get that 40 FPS lock, or, cap it to 30 and bump them up, it's a smooth 30 FPS making it very playable. On the rig.. well it flies and barely even gets the fans spinning.

Story, music and scenery combined with a gritty combat experience - if you have swung a weapon in any 3rd person action game and enjoy timing parries, you can go on a tear, or, switch out your gear and go in quiet for some epic assassinations and lastly, if you want to practice your headshots, gear up for a wonderfully varied ranged system which allows you to take advantage of the environment, flame arrows, explosives and more. Specialize or combine all 3, you'll really get absorbed in this samurai power fantasy.

I strongly recommend switching it to Japanese subtitled, the English voice acting comes across very cringe in comparison.

Did you pass this one because you was waiting too long for the PC release? Highly regret doing so personally, It's easily one of the best games I've played this year, heck, it's top 10 lifetime material.

If I have to find a negative, It won't provide access to online features on the Steam Deck or your Linux PC, But that's typical Sony ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for you. Don't let it put you off if that applies, this is a supreme single player experience which loves being on Proton.
