Inscryption è fenomenale:
un deck building card game su base roguelite e con elementi di escape room game.
Emozionante, divertente, inquietante, ben costruito e sempre coinvolgente.
L'estetica (le estetiche) sono peculiari ed uniche; l'audio è dettagliatissimo.
Inscryption rappresenta a pieno quello di cui l'industria del videogioco ha bisogno in questo momento:
una ventata d'aria fresca fatta di genialità; fantasia e di artistico "azzardo";
come si faceva negli anni 90 quando il mercato era tutto da scoprire e non esistevano le parole "remake", "remastered" e "reboot".

if you loved games like heart of darkness, flashblack, another world and abe's oddysee YOU MUST play this game...
this is a true hidden indie gem

+graphics:
of course pixelart is beautiful.. but this manages to be compelling and relevant story wise

+soundtrack:
deep and appropriate dystopian score (not "chiptunish" tho...)

+story:
story is absolutely fantastic... narration is perfectly on par with the "techno-NOIRish" theme of the game
never too slow, never too hasty

+gameplay:
perfect blend of exploration, puzzlesolving and shooting/action segments
controls are ok... it's gamepad ready but i never felt the need to switch to a joystick (maybe a bit during the final section of the game) ... played the entire game on laptop keyboard/touchpad

+puzzles:
great designing and outstanding variety in every puzzle you'll encounter
difficulty never spikes and there's a perfect balance between logic and ability to overcome various situations

-checkpoints:
maybe sometimes checkpoint distribuition can be a little unfair... but i'm just nitpicking here (they're generally ok)

TL;DR --> absolutely well worth your time & money (in my case 8h approx & 3,74€ on winter sale)

Funny like core game, but way too short for 5 euros!

learning curve is ok even for casual gamer

sometimes controls are imprecise but overall ok

+good oldschool graphics, look&feel of the game is undeniably stunning
+good soundtrack
+loved the "point&click like" sections between levels
+story appropriate to game theme&setting
+dev is very kind and involved in troubleshooting

-multiple times the game froze in main menu (when accessing options)
-issues reguarding fullscreen & res when connecting laptop to external monitor (pc res 2560x1440, monitor res 1280x720, connected through hdmi cable)
-gamepad not detected... using ps4 controller via bluetooth and ds4windows application (no special input scheme, ds4win automatically converts ps4 to xbox360 gamepad... works for every game in my library)
-i didn't dig deep in the game, but i'm not able to "identify" gameplay mechanics, don't know if it reguards the whole game but first levels are a mixture of platforming, speedrunning, and classic scrolling beat&shoot gameplay
tried a speedy approach -> failed beacuse of enemy attacks
tried a careful approach -> failed beacuse of time
-gameplay mechanics aside learning curve is too steep.. tutorial didn't help me
-got frustrated and quit the game too soon... maybe it's just me (little time to play games,i prefer a more "direct" approach)

superfun coop game!
classes are well designed
character progression is well made
level design is good (mechanics and aesthetically)

liked the concept a lot but played the game for a while and it bored me too fast
i don't know... maybe it's just me, can't enjoy slow paced games anymore
