Absolute blast

It's not a game, it's an experience. I was profoundly moved below the belt by the story

The original diabotical was a really good game in my opinion.

This one feels like a different team was tasked to make diabotical with rng and classes. I don't generally mind classes, but the combination we have at hand doesn't work too well I'd argue.

In this game you play 4x4 bo7 matches, with your weapons and secondary ability randomised with each round. That means, the game is extremely RNG, and right now, with how poor the balancing is, getting worse weapons could literally lose you a round. To add insult to injury, this issue is being greatly alleviated by RNG roguelike element:

After each round(or sometimes during the game when met certain conditions) you get to choose 1 card out of 3 random ones, which costs some "points" you earn during the round. You can get upgrades for your character which are always the same, but they're generally weak. The strongest upgrades are for the guns and secondary ability, and that's a problem. You can get a couple of good upgrades for a good gun and have a great round to not get this gun ever again during this round.
There's also an another separate permanent upgrade system which I'm not a huge fan of. It does give you some nice things, even if they don't feel extremely overpowered.

So, in general it's a boring team wipeout mode game with classes, no interesting movement (not even strafe jumps?), based completely around RNG. If you don't think that sounds fun, it's because it is not.

P.S: I like the maps, and the lobby is really cool. Pickups that spawn on the ground and you have to stand on top of them to "capture" them is also a mechanic I like. Maybe this game would be worth to check in half a year, but with how diabotical went, I don't have high hopes for this one, I'm sorry.

Wonder shut up

Characters and story may not be as strong as they are in Capcom's DMC4/5, but the gameplay is much smoother, the level and enemy design is much better than Capcom, too. This game plays like a charm and that's what's important in this genre.

The game is not bad, it's fun and nostalgic. However, the controls haven't aged well, after playing much better Ninja Theory's DmC and even DMC 5, it's just a pain. If you haven't played this game as a kid, you probably don't want to play it now.

Not a bad game, but I would wait another year before playing it.
