I remember buying this game way back when. It probably had less than 200 reviews at the time. I thought it was a good concept and decent enough game to waste some 20 hours on, and that would be that.

Well, 2 years on and a lot of content added, the game's hit full release and thousands upon thousands of positive reviews. And for good reason. Variety in biomes, weaponry, enemies, pacing/difficulty, endgame content, mutators (both positive and negative), etc. And there's more to come, the devs say.

It's very fun - and paced pretty well. The variety in missions and their objectives is nice.

Only minor complaint is that playing with randoms is more miss than hit, but I'll take the L for that any day because playing solo is very possible (though probably not on difficulties past Hazard 3) and the game doesn't 'punish' you too much - even playing Hazard 1 can get you good XP and money if the mission type/length/cave complexity is high enough. Bosco is a good boy.

9/10, I bought two cosmetic DLCs because I am positive any gameplay content is going to be free and I want to support the devs.
