It's MAHVEL, what more do you want?

A very fun roguelite mixed with poker. I finally learned how poker hands work thanks to this game, now I have the skills to gamble my life savings away!

This game is a very fun horde-shooter in the vein of Left 4 Dead and Deep Rock Galactic with a veneer of Starship Troopers aesthetic. It's mechanically solid, lots of great gameplay concepts, and the 'infinite galactic war' concept helps to push a goofy narrative that is both omnipresent and unimportant. Shoot gun, do mission, hoo-rah.

I like the game mechanics and overall flow of the game, but some divers out there just don't know how to run away while reloading.
If you like horde shooters you can't go wrong with Helldivers 2.

I had a lot of fun with the game, if I were to compare it with other games it would be half-life and control meets The Long Drive aesthetically but the gameplay is more looting-extraction. I feel like driving a car actually makes the looting-extracting gameplay better because driving the car itself is fun. The narrative was fine but you can probably speed through this game in less than 10 hours if you don't do any extra exploring or looting. I took my time specifically because I enjoyed driving around so much.

I felt like the upgrades for the car and maintaining the car weren't overly annoying, usually the worst that can happen is your engine starts to go bad but a few runs with your old engine will get you the materials you need. I enjoyed kitting out my car for the issues I'd be facing, like using pierce-proof tires for runs where lots of spike-related anomalies are prevalent or maximizing my space on the road.

One thing people seem to do from the reviews I've read is get caught up looting every zone they drive through instead of just cruising down the highway. You shouldn't treat looting like Fallout where you loot everything you see or your runs will last hours. Targeted looting is the way, and the devs implement a lot of very useful shortcuts, tools, and color-coding practices to quickly let you distinguish what your looking at.

My biggest gripes are a) no early mod support so I can't even import songs so you're stuck with the 7 song soundtrack, b) there aren't any real Side Missions to pad out the game. C) There doesn't seem to be much to do after the main narrative so I'm hoping people will mod in more maps and missions in the future. Perhaps an expansion?

I'd also like to say great job with the accessibility settings. They let you adjust how severe the negative aspects of the game are or remove them entirely. Need to get off early during a run? Set your settings to not take damage or lose stuff on death and then abandon the run. You don't want quirks interrupting your cruising time? You can reduce or turn them off! It's great they really want to focus on the cool part of the game: drivin' around like a rally driver, dodging STALKER anomalies.

TLDR: Fun car game that focuses on looting and repair vs combat or racing. Half-Life/Control vibes. Nice soundtrack but repetitive, bring your own music for cruisin'. Some fun spooks here and there, fun customization for your ride, cool gadgets to play with like you're Speed Racer. Minimal grind, story was a bit anemic and no post-game content.

This is a fantastic game. It updates the gameplay in a fun way and greatly improves the graphical fidelity. I's fun, feature rich, has a fantastic soundtrack. It's probably the best fighting game as a complete package for single player AND multiplayer.

Great art, fun little roguelike.

The PC port of this game is very bad. Long loading times, unoptimized, and full of bugs. I suggest getting a console version of the game because of all the issues. I'm very disappointed in all the bugs overall. Kameos not doing their attack, bad connectivity without the ability to deny a match, and if your opponent has this game installed on an HDD you are boned.

Furthermore the metagame is relatively stale right now: lots of Cyrax with the top 3 characters. The issue isn't there are top tier strategies...the issue is there is _one top tier strategy for each character_. Reiko/Darrius, Raiden/Jax, Johnny/Cyrax, Kung Lao/Goro...And during a set you can't change fighters which causes the issue where you can be stuck in a bad matchup!

I'm hoping this game will get fixes and works better but honestly I'm not certain it will happen.

In Summation: Fun game but metagame has gotten stale very quickly and the PC port is badly optimized. Hoping for improvements but if you're a huge MK fan and MUST play this game...get a console copy.

Edit: Game's gonna die, they didn't fix most of the issues, but it's still fun to make people mad over the mic.

If you like games like Starfield then you'll like this.

Good fighting system overall, lots of single-player content, and a cool story. Looking forward to MK1

It's everything Street Fighter has been building towards throughout all of it's iterations. It has a fantastic mechanics system, cool characters, great graphics, great netcode, single player content, casual multiplayer content, full featured training mode...

The only thing I don't like is Juri's nasty-ass feet. Girl put some shoes on.
