I saw videos of this game & had yearned to give this a try. Once I did, I immediately got hooked. I can see why even after almost a decade after it was released, it still receives updates & is still popular to this day.

Pros:

+Gameplay is very simple; you just go right in from the get-go.
+Customization (depending on the truck) can truly make your truck truly yours.
+Get to see landmarks & the country.
+Due to being a simulator, can practice should you wish to make this your real life career.
+Keyboard, controller, or even steering wheel to be your choice to play.
+Game is pretty challenging should you want the experience on the road.
+Lots of mods & strong community support.
+Graphics are relatively nice even after recent updates.
+A taste of the life of a truck driver!

Cons:

-Not a lot of truck variety, even among the brands.
-Some customization options are left to be desired.
-Some graphics & environments in some states need an update.
-Some trucks are in dire need of a rework.
-Traffic AI is very frustrating.
-Truck sounds are very generic.

The following are what I believe can help improve the game (by the way, I'm not going to include "add more states" because that will happen with future updates & is a given; is what I believe can improve the overall experience if at all possible. And yes, I'm aware of the Workshop & the mods in it, but I'm talking about the base game in general which includes all of the updates. Also, as of writing this review, I have zero mods installed):

*Improve the traffic AI to be more realistic or more responsive to various situations on the road.
*Add more trucks to have more brand variety, including fan favorites (which may include "classics"; will explain in a bit)
*Add more customization to other trucks, similar to the W900 Tuner Pack, including other trucks & even OG trucks (like the T680 & 579 Classic).
*Classic trucks, like the Kenworth T800, the Peterbilt 379, Mack R-Series, etc. "Classic Truck Pack" I'd call it.
*Same as above, but with Cabovers like the Kenworth K100 for example. "Cabover Pack" I'd call it.
*More trailer variety & customization. Trucks aren't the only thing that are fun to customize, you know.
*Authentic engine sounds instead of generic truck sounds. For example, if you install a CAT engine into your W900, it'll sound like it has a CAT engine which also includes the jake brake.
*Have more "flat top" options for some trucks. Even the W900 had a flat top! (Can be related to "Classic Pack")
*"Probably" get inspiration from the modders in the Workshop to know what fans besides myself want.

Final Score: 9/10
