Mixed reviews due to server and perfomance issues.
However, it is in early access and made by a smaller dev team.
Give it a chance, it's a great game and deservers/needs more support and better reviews for a bright future.
Edit: To be clear - I love this game, its brilliant. Great customization and it's nothing like anything out there. I give it a strong buying recommendation if you don't mind typical early access problems.

Decent game, no annoying building, classes and enjoyable artstyle.
Better than Fortnite, give it a try, deserves a bigger player base.

The first battleroyale game you can simply enjoy.
But the map should be reduzed to at least half it's size in my opinion, it's simply too big for 40 players and performance isn't all that great either.

A racing game that supports my habit of crashing into everything that moves (and doesn't move), with driving physics that remind me of GTA IV and insanely well made crash physics/models?
Yes, I love everything about this game. Also thanks for supporting, updating and improving this game after all these years. That's the reason I bought it in 2018! :)

I've never been a huge fan of Ubisoft games but Far Cry 5 is one of the best games I've ever played.
It's innovative, absolutely gorgeous and playing the story in co-op with a friend is a blast!

Killed my 980TI.

Can not recommend in the current state after the update:
- UI got an incredible horrible console redesign
- Performance got a huuuge downgrade
- Added many many bugs
- Map looks pretty but just isn't fun like the old one

The goal is not to kill everyone else and be the last man standing, but instead to get one of the rare relics that act as a heli ticket to get off the island. You get these by mainly teamworking, as they get carried by op monsters that are very hard to take down on your own, but surprisingly easy as a team of just two. So instead of killing on sight you get the chance to interact and talk to people before you smash each others heads in.
A few interesting mechanics make this game stand out: Walkie talkies with different channels besides a local voip, teaming up by highfiving other players, you can get infected and turn into one of the monsters, and lastly the already mentioned relic ticket that discourages killing on sight.
Edit: If you're looking for a competitive battle royal expirience definitely stick to pubg!

Graphically definitely a 2018 title, looks pretty and runs smooth.

With the dedicated dev team I can see this game becoming a long lasting and very fun expirience. It might be more kos in the first few days/weeks after launch since there is a big new very diverse playerbase, we will see how it goes. But I can assure playing before launch was hell a lot fun and I never got killed on sight.
PS: Don't hate on the packs, these are mainly if you've been around since the alphas and betas and are willing to support the game/devs, eventho I have to admit some more rewards wouldn't have hurt and the base pack for 30$ a little bit too expensive imo. 5-10$ less would have been a good price range, or at least like 25% off in the launch week.

- Buy if you're interested in interacting with others, making new friends and enemies or if you're simply looking for a fresh new game with some nice mechanics.
- Don't buy if you're looking for a competitive battle royal expirience like pubg.

Take Two is actively acting against the modding community, a really bad move on their side.

Roleplaying, which is only possible due to mods, not only brought me and tons of other players back into gta, but also catapulted the game on twitch to the top 10 games being streamed for the last weeks/months and created moments of gaming I will never forget due to incredible funny roleplaying and scenarios that will never happen in the integrated kill on sight mode aka gta online.

And besides that they also want to get rid of offline singleplayer modding. So once through the somewhat short story no more cars with jetpacks, dragons that cause chaos or hulks that fight against said dragons.

Well done Take Two, on destroying the best part of your commmunity.

Well at least I got 70gb space back on my hard disk.

+ The overall world design is just spot on and I'm in love with it. Beautiful and simple.
+ The voice chat is amazingly fun and makes every round "different".
+ Perfect mixture of slow and fast pace.
+ It's very challenging for counselors against a good jason, but not impossible.
+ Good performance on a 980ti Super Jetstream and i7 7700k.

Please keep in mind that this is not a AAA game and just launched.
The negative points are mainly feedback for the devs!
- Never ending save data profile messages, errors and freezes.
- Might be not enough content for some people, for me it is enough for now.
- Bugs here and there that get you killed such as bugging doors, traps and jasons grab range.

Overall it's a great game and I'd recommend it to anybody who has some money to spare. Yes, right now there is not insanly much content, but that did not change anything on how much fun I am having. It might get repetitve after some time, but features such as the voice chat make every round different and fun in it's own ways. Basically what we have here is an awesome foundation for a (as of right now) unfinished feeling game.
