I usually do not play turn-based games like this as much. But I swear this game is very special. It's complex, choices matter, and what's even better. Is that you can play with 3 other friends to take with you on your journey. The game is extremely long, it taking me almost 100 hours to get to the 3rd island. I doubt I've even scratched the surface there. The combat is a real-time turn based strategy and is not your typical turnbase. Instead you have to use envirionments and a combination of spells to successfully inflict a good amount of damage on enemies.

My only con so far is that the loading screens are long and there have been some bugs here and there. But other than that I highly recommend this game. It definately has a high replayability.

After seeing a lot of bad reveiws I became a little skeptical about buying this game. But after taking my time to think a little,I realized something was wrong. All this hate and conspiracy theories is why we can't have nice things. I decided to ignore the reveiws and go into buying this game because I love 3d platformers. Especially dated, obscure and old 3d platformers. I knew what this game was and when I played it. It gave me what I wanted.

But of course I'm going to reveiw my nuetrals, cons and my pros.

My Nuetrals:

-After playing for over 11 hours I don't get why people are complaining about the worlds being too big and needing a map. In MY opinion the worlds are STILL too small even after being expanded. But hey I drive, and I have to memorize my routes all the time, so it could be just me. Even then I don't ever remember any of the Rareware games being easy. I had a hard time finding stuff in the original Banjo Kazooie and so I don't expect this game to hold my hand either. I expect it to be hard to find stuff, and well it delivers on that.

-The voices at first are annoying, but mainly because the starting volume. The best thing to do when you first play is to turn down the SFX volume down, because it will feel like they're physically trying to assault your ears. Once the SFX is down the voices are fine.

-Powerbar is meh. But when you get more into the game you'll eventually understand it's purpose and won't mind it much.
The Dr. Quaker quizs aren't that terrible. They're just meh again. But it could be that I don't find the worlds to be that big and I can easily navigate through them without any problem.

My negatives:

-My main grip is the camera however. It's pretty bad at times, and sometimes it could be nauseating. But it's not bad ALL the time. It's enough to get by and does not render the game unplayable.
You'll probably forget about the awful camera for a while, and then run into an tight area to remember just how bad the thing really is.

-The worlds are kinda meh. I really think smaller worlds with more themes would had been a bit better. I get tired of running around the same map, and it can get a bit boring to look at since there isn't a lot of changes in scenary.

-I also don't think buying the movesets are really necessary, and I feel that collecting the quills should just give you a pagie. It's just to me kinda pointless when I always have enough quills to purchase a move. I really think just finding a new ability somewhere in the world or learning it from doing a mission for an NPC would give them more of a purpose, and make everything more challenging.

-Games lags sometimes.

Positives:

-The controls are tight and responsive.
-The movesets are creative, fun, and cleverly thought out.
-Dialogue is decent. Some is actually pretty witty and clever.
-Worlds are non-linear and expansive.
-The game challenges you and does not hold your hand when encountering puzzles especially in expanded and later worlds.
-Music ranges from soothing to catchy as f**K. I'm looking at you Boss fights and Kartos challenges.

Seeing as I have more positives than both my nuetral and negatives. I think it's well worth the purchase and is nowhere as bad as reveiws say it is. After seeing reveiws for the Ratchet and Clank movie being horrible with over exaggeration, despite me really thinking that movie was just, meh. I learned not to take any reveiw seriously at all, unless I experienced it entirely for myself. I think everyone should do so as well and take it with a grain of salt.

I'd say this game is worth it for people who love challenging 3d platformers or platformers in general. But if you're still skeptical; It wouldn't hurt to wait for a sale. It'll most defiantly be worth it if knocked down to $25-30.

This game has always made me come back to it. Whenever I'm bored or even stressed with something. I can always play with friends or go onto random servers to get my mind off things. The tim burton inspired art style is great, and the updates with new content is pleasing. It's always nice to come back after a couple of months to play this game and experience new content.
Don't Starve is also incredibly easy to mod and it's community is friendly and excellent along with the klei entertainment staff. This game is a must buy!

Deus Ex Mankind Divided is a really fun game, and is a satifying sequel to human revolution from what I played. I like the plot so far, the soundtrack is excellent, the controls are pretty okay with a controller. It might be a little fast at times when I'm aiming with the right analog stick, but not enough to really affect me that much. I'm not really sure how bad it is on keyboard and mouse like everyone else is saying but I'm probably never going to find out since I don't hardly ever play with one.

My main problem with the game is that it is very unoptimized to the point I get lag spikes every once and a while. At one point the lag was so bad that the bank I was entering caused me to clip through the floor and die. Basically the whole area didn't load and when I reloaded my last save, I had to stand there for a good 15 minutes before everything loaded up correctly so I wouldn't end up clipping to my death again. I'm running a 12gb DDR3, 850 WATT PSU, fx-8350 4.0ghz 8-core processor with MSI Geforce GTX 960 2gb.
Some of the AI, I also question since I've been detected despite being out of sight. However it doesn't happen all the time so it's not too infuriating. It's just sometimes annoying when that rare moment pops up.

I'll continue to play this game because I really enjoy it despite the lag, and it really isn't lagging enough all the time to the point it's unplayable. I just hope that the optimization issue is resolved.

So do I reccommend this game. Well yes, and no. My only reason I would not recommend this is because of the lag. So when that's patched up I'll gladly give it a thumbs up.

Ahhh TF2, I had so much fond memories of this game. Looking back I first played this game in early 2011, it was my second game I had ever downloaded onto my at the time new laptop computer. I wasn't that much into computer gaming and well this game changed that along with Left4Dead2. Despite my old laptop not being designed to play newer games, TF2 it could play with only some lag. It was a 3d game I could actually play multiplayer on in competitive matches. What was great about it was that it was actually fun to play, and there was minor interest in hats. They existed but everyone was more into playing.

I took a huge break from this game and once and a while came back for it to just play. But after a while once I got a newer much more powerful gaming desktop, I looked at TF2 again and came back to nothing but a trading game and shoot to get more hats competition. I am a commission artist on FA and DA. This hat addiction craze has gotten so **** bad someone had the nerve to want to commission me art in exchange for TF2 hats.

First Cons:

1. The controls are loose and the glitching is ridiculous. Most of the time when I move I feel like I'm sliding on ice, and projectiles fly all over the place making it even easy for a n00b to shoot around wildly and hit 2 to 3 people, killing them instantly. If I want a game to play something like MvM, ctf, deathmatch, and all that I will play some Natural Selection 2 and Unreal tournament 3, for they have tighter controls, more strategy and game modes to satisfy me. TF2 is like your typical competitive striaght forward shooter except with hats, so it's nothing special.

2. You don't need to know how to aim to be good at this game, I actually felt like my aim got a lot worst when playing other games like Natural Selection 2 and Unreal tournament 3 when coming back from playing this while my aim got better from play those other games, since most weapons glitch (example, shooting through walls, missing the target by a lot and still hitting it, etc) or do weird splash damage from weapons like a pistol and etc. Now sometimes there is strategy involved but the stretegies get so old and repeated that it feels boring.

3.The game just tries it's it's hardest to get you into the hat collecting craze, whether you get a random crate drop, spectating always desplaying the persons items, advertising, and random person talking about hats in chat. Since I only played this game for fun, I could care less about hats and so this game becomes dull very quickly. This is coming from someone that enjoys crafting items too, and has actually modded TF2 out of sheer boredom.

4. The gamemodes aren't anything special. Whatever is in TF2, there's another game just like TF2 with the same thing.

Pros now:

1. TF2 has some rather interesting ways of character developing game characters. Instead on being in the game directly, they have these comics and small shorts. Their animated short for example "Expiration Date" was pretty entertaining. The characters are colorful, funny, and just fun. So if you're into comics and animation, you should defiantly check TF2s animated shorts and comics out.

2. The game can function on lowend computers pretty decently. So if you can't play more graphics hungry multiplayer shooter games, this would be a okay alternative.

3. It's free, so if you have cheap friends or friends with lowend computers you can at least play it with them.

If you can't afford a better game, have a lowend pc, or is just there for collecting hats. I can reccommend it.

If you're like me and like the characters, art style, animations, but could care less about hats and want more challenge. Play something else, there are much better multiplayer games out there. Otherwise no I don't reccommend it.

At first when I saw this game I never thought much about it. Until one of my friends modded it a few months ago. Now at that time I had no clue on how to mod videogames, and was too lazy to do so. Until a couple of months ago I had tons of free time, and decided to give modding a try. After yet another friend brought this game I was reminded of this game. So since I've been modding 3D games such as Left4Dead2, I decided what the heck, I'll buy this game and give the modding at try.

After playing a none-custom game, I died the first day from not getting up a fire up in time. This made me want to try again, this time I survivaled 3 days, dying by going insane from not knowing how to keep sane. But with each new game I learned how things worked and what creatures are friendly and need to be avioded. After playing it a few hours I have found that this game is INCREDIBLY addicting.

The world randomly generates so every play through is a new experience, keeping each game feeling fresh. You never know when you'll spawn in the middle of nowhere, in a rich in resources pig village, or right next to a spider nest or pack of blood thirsty hounds. Not only that, since I do own Reign of Giants dlc you must watch out for the seasons, if you customize your world settings to be more advanced you may be a unlucky person to spawn in summer or winter, where you can easily overheat or freeze to death. The game is unforgiving, it tries it's hardest to kill you but with each gameplay you learn to survive longer.

The game has a very unique-looking style. It reminds me a little of a Tim Buton-like style, and it's very nice to look at. The creatures are creative too, along with each character you can unlock with their different abilities.

I then tried my hand at modding the game and found that it is VERY easy to mod. Now I do have more experience modding harder games so those without modding experience might take a little longer to learn than someone will some experience, but since the games community and the games staff is generous and very willing to help you with modding it. You'll defiantly get the hang of it eventually. There are also plenty of videos to help you out with it.

I defiantly reccommend buying this game, it is worth every penny. With multiplayer coming out soon you'll be able to enjoy the game with your friends.

Probably has got to be one of my favorite multiplayer shooter games. I highly recommend those that are into both shooters and strategy based games.

The game basically has 2 different teams, alien and marine. Both teams has it's own unique abilities and types of gameplay with the aliens ranging more around melee, and the marines towards long range weaponry. There is a commander on each team responsive for helping their team win by providing upgrades, expansion of territory, and supporting players.

There are plenty of different modes within the game. From normal NS2 mode to modes such as combat and much more.

One problem is that if you have a old or not so great computer, you may experience massive lag. I'll highly recommend those with newer more stronger computers to only buy this game otherwise the lag can become increasively annoying to both the player and others playing on the servers.

But other than that I think this game is worth the buy and incredibly fun and addicting!
