Great and immensely intense game! Guns feel great, lots of options to customise your setup (without the necessity to unlock the good stuff first, everything's there from the get-go).

The most striking element are the sounds. They are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ well-done: grenades literally burst your ear-drums, if you turn up the volume enough. It just feels great and imo the game deserves a lot more attention.

Hands down one of the best video games ever created. Extremely fun and immersive.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun as ♥♥♥♥. Got it before I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off to travel in some far away country with horrible internet and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ notebook that can barely run any videogame.

One run can take well over an hour, if you get far enough. There is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of hidden content which makes it extremely replayable. I am over 100 hours in, I wouldn't consider myself too ♥♥♥♥ at the game and I still haven't managed to finish it completely.

You can't allow yourself to be careless at any time, in contrast to The Binding of Isaac, which I love as well. I would say it is a more hardcore version of said game.

It definitely is worth its money, so don't hesitate to get it if you love rogue-like games and have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer (is more fun on a good one though, since it looks prettier).

I enjoyed exploring everything and doing quests which lead to further exploring. It's a really fun game that peaks in the half, but then (from Chapter 3) becomes a humanoid (lizard) -kill-simulator and all of sudden you fight the final boss (-> interesting concept, awful fight).

The story starts to feel so rushed from a certain point, all of the sudden you have a "greatest" ally and a former ally turns against you for no apparent reason.
The ending was one of the worst endings I ever encountered (both combat AND storywise). I'm still confused, because the whole point of the story (removing the barrier from the island) gets lost and/or mixed up in other rather irrelevant things.

I really liked the story, but the ending was so unsatisfying and frustrating that I'd rate the game 5/10.

Nevertheless I recommend playing the game if you enjoy exploring, looting and leveling (especially recommended for Gothic fangays), but I would not play it a second time.

-bad pve: there aren't actually hard enemys, the only hard thing is the amount of these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you have to deal with
-the game literally just throws enemys at you
