You might think this is a fairly basic CRPG - with janky graphics, and a bit of a corny story, and on the surface it is, but after playing for a while, there is a MASSIVE deep game - with Trade, Mining, savaging, missions - its like Shadowrun with Elite on top (with an Eve online style ship combat) I don't really gel with the ship combat part of it and I wish it was different, but this game is a total hidden gem, hours of game-play, play it the way you want, explore a massive galaxy with TONNES to do, loads of ships - upgrades for everything.

Its a totally fantastic game which I cannot recommend highly enough

An ARPG with lovely Graphics,?
A well thought out and fun Skill tree? -

loads of mobs, tonnes of loot?

A brilliant and easy to understand crafting system?

All for the price of a Mount in Diablo IV?

YES! You bet! Hell yeah!

Things that bum me out, Skills/Characters are gender locked - don't like that

Not much else, the battle to end game is not overly grindy, easy and fun to level without having to stick HOURS AND HOURS into...

The cash shop is cosmetics only, I am not a fan of anything they are selling, but it doesn't matter! I don't have to buy it.

Loads of gameplay, and offline mode for when things get choppy, cannot recommend this game highly enough

look! it's one of those fishing games, the graphics are nice - I am not sure how good the AI is, early hardware breaks very often (doing the math(s) I think it is a bit TOO MUCH) but I am no expert

Super relaxing, lovely graphics - and the 3d models of the fish are spot on - it was only £7 in the sale and definitely worth every penny (you even get UF Sim 1 - the VR version free at the moment and I loved that game) so yeah, lots of great potential, nice graphics - good simulation - I would reccomend

Best £2 I have ever spent! even more fun than a ride on your mum (although it's more expensive)

It's like crossing Rimword with Terraria with a dose of Starbound, love it

I cannot recommend this game, I kickstarted it and got all the expansions, I was a massive fan on the original - but this.. this is not the game I was promised or expected, the last update was the final nail in the coffin..

It was rushed, badly optimised - No ship interiors like we were promised, a bad/broken mini game for exploration - A mehh FPS and loads more grind, the last update was missing most features promised, then space legs happened and it was just bad.

They need to go back into early access and fix it, its not worth the money at this point.

I hope they do a No Mans Sky and fix it one day, but at the moment its unplayable and just dull.

Rimword is the best game on the PC, bar none - I have more hours in this game than any other, if you want a nice relaxing colony sim, then this is for you, if you want to turn the terror up to 1000 then this is also for you! Nice and simple to learn and impossible to master, It has the most amazing developer and the mod support from the community is second to none, no two play throughs are ever the same - start a colony, make millions selling drugs - or make an organ harvesting cannibal colony, the choice is yours!

Don't worry about the cost, the value for money in the base game itself is just awesome, over 500 hours of fun, it's paid for itself over and over again, the DLC adds a fun whole new way to play too - I can't express how much I love this game!

This game is finally worth playing! Although I would add the mod that takes the delay out when you press the button to do anything, why does it have this?

Okay it is technically free to play, however if you want to get past level 10 you'll have to drop some money - about £3 for one of the cheaper heroes - I would recommend this as it will get really boring farming shards or logging in every day for a week to get a character.

I came back to this game after about a year away and I never really played it that much but I really did enjoy it - Playing Deadpool was fun, he seems quite overpowered (although I have not actually unlocked him yet so I can't really say)

I plumped for Hawkeye as he was one of the cheaper heroes and found him much less fun and survivable early on in comparison but after level 20 he could hold his own very well - and I started to burn through the levels. Its a very fast paced MMOARPG in the style of Diablo (and its heritage shows) - It's action keys are A-H instead of 1-6 like most "normal" ARPGs - This takes some getting used to early on, but eventually it does click, but a new player might be as well to redefine the keys from the get go.

It sticks to the characters and the stories from Marvel pretty well - using some cube nonsense to explain why there are loads of your character wandering about - and it doesn't detract too badly from the immersion of the game if you don't think about it too hard.

All your favourite Marvel people are here (including the Stan Lee cameo) - Heroes and Villains, and you can play them both - At least some of them, the usual archetypes in ARPGs will be obvious to most, but you will probably need to spend money or farm a LOT if you want to stand out from the crowd as customisation is obviously limited.

The cons in the game are (for me at least) the crafting is mind boggling and makes little sense to me, the loot drops are really samey - boots, clothes, hat, weapon and quiver again and again - pretty much all identical with the same stats.. that gets pretty dull, Obviously to enjoy the game to its fullest you'll have to spend a few quid - as they have taken shard drops out for new players for missions they are tedious to farm (if you were only playing to level 10)

I completed a lot of the missions and got to a point were i was too low to continue and had to level elsewhere, the game didn't tell me why - and that was annoying!

Some of the levels are a bit repetitive when you get up to 50+ plus on the plus side the enemies are varied (not just palette swapped and bigger versions like most ARPGs) - Another problem is when a character can't do a skill because its on a cool down they will say the same line, over and over - that also gets annoying too!

I found the community to be pretty insular, nobody helped me when I asked questions so reddit and google are a must (unless you know someone who plays) - there was a lot of arguing going on in global chat (about politics and the like) - and there were a few Chinese gold farmers I spotted by nothing like you get in WoW etc..

SO on the whole I would say its a fun game for a couple of quid on coins to unlock a hero you'll definitely get a decent amount of play out of it - but if a marvel based diablo is not your thing, I would avoid it!
