Nightdive becoming a AAA company removing games after they've been "remade".

After SS1, SS2 felt like they dropped acid and made a game.
And it's a beautiful insanely creative game for it's time,

Deceitful pricing, when I purchased "chapter 1" in EA, there was no upfront statement that "Chapter 1" is the whole game, and the rest of the game is paid DLC. It was hidden in the FAQ, not completely upfront.
Chapter 1 should not be the "Full Game" while still in EA; while adding in features of Chapter 2. Then paywall it the chapter.
Going to try and get a refund. This is insulting for an EA title.

Micro transactions out the wazoo.
Fun with friends, just more of the same.
World is way too large even with vehicles and warp jumps.
Running 10 minutes to a warp is infuriating.
Keep your money away from Blandy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (hah, ima so funny).
He ruins all he touches. Risk of Rain 2 became unplayable once they aquired it. My once favorite game was ruined after I paid for it by that a-hole.

Waste of time if you've played the OG for 100s of hours.
Another lazy 'enhanced' edition.
Meaning they threw all the textures into a crap AI upscaler.

Got it in a pack for 3 bucks with all content.
Hour and a half and I'm uninstalling it.
More of the same with even worse story on top of the exact same game play that never changes.
Oh, my bad, they added outer space areas.

F.e.a.r. on roids.
Super smooth gameplay, no hiccups or fps drops.

Using UE4, no terrible UE5 isues. That makes me happy.

Just buy it if you loved FEAR and it's copycats from way back in the day.

This game is getting review bombed and lies are all over. It runs exactly like the OG did, but enhanced, thus the title.
It's still running on X-Ray for people that don't know anything about the trilogy and are making up excuses about engines.

So here is a 1.0 review:

Enhanced is the best term, game play wise little has changed.
-All the negative reviews are about the RUZ removal or their own inability to operate a computer.
-They've upgraded the X-ray engine to DX12, the biggest advantage of this edition of course.
-Uses all cores, cleaned up the code vastly, other small visual upgrades that add up to make the zone feel 'refreshed'.
-The graphics settings menu is a little different. AA is either FXAA or MLAA, which is a weird choice IMO.
-It includes FSR only (???) but this game really doesn't need it. If your PC can't run Win10, you shouldn't be trying to play this.
-It is difficult to notice many of the texture upgrades on some. (low level AI filtering, no prob for me)

I'm glad they did this. DX12 X-ray opens up a whole new world for modders. They've been given a big unicorn dump on their lap. (That's good)

Most Neg reviews I've seen so far are just fallacy after fallacy:
-Ruzzians are mad the language was removed, well I wonder why? Go mod it in yourself ya drunken children.
-People say it's blurry, a lie until sauce is given. reset settings and turn off motion blur. Move to a place without earthquakes.
-It does not start up with FSR on. It does not start with v-sync on. Those are lies.
-People pissy about S2 laying hate on their previous work.
-It's not unfair they 'jacked' up the price of a 20+ year old game. They took time to revise a previous model.
Like car manufacturers, and tvs and just about EVERYTHING. The damn entitlement people can have....

This enhanced trilogy is going to be be in the mostly negatives for a few weeks I bet, until steam removes the bot reviews.

Much, much better than the HL2 RT redo.
Modders have added the Blue Shift game that is as professional as this this game.
The price is amazing for what you can get, Workshop creators are remastering all the addon games.

Despite the hot girls angle, you can play as an original male character where all weapons and armor are visible.
This is not the case for the ladies in scanty clothing. Armor does not show up on them.

It is a dark souls light type game, with pretty good fighting system and visuals. It includes a pretty good story with live action cutscenes.

I'd recommend buying it on sale because of the massive DLCs focused mainly on scantily clad clothing and quite expensive.
