So, I did like Wizard with a Gun for all the wrong reasons. I won't make a comparison here, because I think it is quite unique in gameplay loop.

It is based on RNG, like a roguelite, but at the same time it implies an free roam survival game. You gather resources in a procedurally generated world, that would collapse after set time.
Last statement's "Collapse" means an ingame event, of infinite spawn of specific type of unit of Chaos Fraction. And there are a nature and free agro system, which means anything could be neutral / hostile / friendly to any other unit. As well as tile-based liqiuds, material objects, structures and all of that is a very good base for a Core Mechanic of the game magic bullets.

It's not called wizard with a gun without a reason. And as everyone knows - guns are very effective way of delivering few gramms of lead to a desired target in your view. So, why would mages use dry sticks to deliver 200 units of magic to turn someone into a frog, when they could apply same spell to a buckshot and do it in a more cool way. Anyways that's when the fun begins, because the variety of spell bullets are impressive. I wouldn't sat huge, but hey I am impressed, because I think there is bullets for everything the game could cover.
Need a fire - there ya go, need an inextinguishable fire? Take an oil bullet and send fire one. Want to get rid of chaos - there's bullet for you, that won't harm anything, except doing double the damage for that pesky chaos. Want a follower - take one. Heals, elements, physics, alchemy, teleportation - you got it. The cherry on top is guns. Variety isn't that crazy, you can probable name every single type of gun it has - shotguns, SMG, LMG, Rifle, Pistols, Cannons. Maybe more, but I'm not sure.
And Last for guns - gunpowder. You know, like, why would you enchant a bullet, but not a powder, huh? So it also adds up on build crafting, looting and grinding for the Perfect Build and that's cool.

The game Length - it's actually fine. Like it takes a while and by the end - you satisfied. Nothing more, nothing less. It is a good game to try and play.

About all the wrong reasons:
1 - I don't like grinding, but that's how WwaG allows you to taste your findings, new builds, new ideas - it is fun.
2 - Game is don't have much of a challenge. It is kind of easy to get on OP build / combination, but you feel more like awarded what you found.
3 - Not much of replayability. Like I said, once you know what is effective, it's way easier, but it never hides any content from you, so you're not losing anything on not doing EndGame+, you just move on.
