I have played this game multiple times. It's just so immersive and incredible, I measure every survival game I ever play by this game. A great benchmark.

It's only negative? The game ends.

I've tried out the mods that exist for this game out there and their cool, but like playing Skyrim for multiple playthroughs over the years, eventually you need to let it rest for good. Don't know why I included that but I am so ready to know and experience more about the Subnautica universe. I guarantee you'll have a memorable experience.

This game is Subnautica in the sky in the back of my head, I played this in early Beta for several hours and played a new playthrough when this game got into 1.0. I have to say, the game throws you into this world for you to explore and your loaded with questions. Collectibles, discoverable artifacts you find in POI (Points of Interests), the Main story, and the environmental stories transcribed on PDAs all over the place really bring ghosts to this rather lonely world. If I could sum it up, what I like, didn't like (mostly small things), and was indifferent too:

Like:
-Entirely customization airship, truly a unique base building experience (most favorite feature of the game!). Very well designed and alot of ways you can build ship rooms, place ornaments, place pieces of furniture, orientation of objects is easy enough, it's all very well built.
-Can make a garden, filled with edible and crafting component based plants! Great designs on them too.
-Can see this being amazing with friends.
-A very relaxing experience you can pick up in play if you don't have alot of time on your hands. Game is friendly to you saving your game in mid-exploring a tower. However in dangerous situations, it might have you load back on your airship.
-Theirs an unstuck command that takes you back to the helm of your ship, as this all takes place in the skies and your movement is prohibited (if at all), this enables the chance of you falling off an edge you might be able to get back to your ship. This button as saved me from time to time.
-Really liked the main story.

Didn't Like:
-After playing the game for awhile, you realize you discovered every type of Tower their is and all your really looking out for is the parked Fauna that is bound to show up. In short, if all your looking for is new Tower types, you'll get bored in a few hours.

^^^
*On a positive note, think about where that PDA is located with designs, keep an eye open for artifacts that may appear, design your ship to be able to get the 'Docked' icon you see on the helm controls (turns into an orange circle) in an easy fashion, and lastly have a way to board these towers fast and easy, even if your unable to land, utilize catwalks in a forklift like fashion in front of your ship thats what I did.

-Be able to do more with the craftable ingredients you can garden.
-No way, I'm aware of, on how to get rid of excess goods (ex. surplus seeds from gardening)
-Might of just been me but I like glass rooms all over the place, the placeable lights were not at all bright enough to add some light to the surfaces of my base. It often felt like it was night time even in the day sometimes. This could of been also because I had 3 blimp cores casting a shadow inside the base most of the time.
-Want more pets/companions!

Indifferent:
-How you need to land on every tower and mingle with the process of landing. Thats the nature of the game, and the unique nature of having an airship as your base being the vehicle that goes to all of these locations, if it's big enough, can be a hassle sometimes, or your ship needs to be better designed to accommodate this. Overall this is just an element that is a character building part of the game, I tell myself. I got used to it after a day or two of playing.

Wish I could write more but overall this game was a fun experience and I'm glad I got to play it. Would love to see this expanded upon with DLC or a sequel even if thats possible!

Frostpunk, but in Space. Ripe for emotional damage in certain places if your not careful. Game felt like you were the driver on a Hail Mary of a mission to an unknown place out in the cosmos. Doomed to fail, you wonder how could you win? The story was enjoyable. Serious Battlestar Galactica vibes as well as ANNO vibes in managing your colony sectors, their was some room for improvement in some places but their more so quality of life based ones then anything else. This will be one of those games I'll remember probably forever, unforgettable experience.

Early Access Review
It was difficult to sum up the words for this game, in a very positive way.

TLDR Version: This game is incredible, perfectly normal to be burned out with how much stuff is going on, find ways to handle the logistics mentally speaking to enjoy your current playthrough to the fullest! Worthy of your time.

My 2 cents:
This game is literally brain crack, it's like your doing a line of a wonder drug since your building up supply chains till your hearts content until it becomes something so logistically massive that you have a moment of completely forgetting what goes where. You learn not to spaghetti-fy your base so things don't seem so confusing but even that isn't enough as you progress down the the complex tech tree. You are intending to build a Dyson Sphere after all as your end goal and that is no easy feat! The graphics of this game are wonderful, it's hard to think about what this game could improve upon except it not having Multiplayer! Having this much go on without friends to help I feel is a missed opportunity but I can understanding from a developer's point of view that this would either be too expensive or is outside their skill set to incorporate in this game.

Alright, gonna lay it out for ya.

This game is immersive, if you like muddin' you'll love this game. It's best with friends in my opinion but it's not necessary. It is also very challenging, especially if your playing solo. My only word of advice is let the world sink you into it. To how Uncle Cletus is having trouble paying child support, to how these humble folks request your aid in something.. their not narrated you read them out loud, but they help set the tone of the level your playing in. Your the hero doing what other truck drivers can't do. A hero in the making really. Feels like it anyways.

It's rewarding, it's a take your time kind of game, great with friends, the world is breathtaking, while this game might be the source of your frustration if you can't get past something, the gameplay when things are going smoothly almost matches this in a positive way. Wish I had more time on my hands. Just finished the Michigan level and that almost took me a year IRL to complete.

I won't bore yall with my story, but this game is all about letting you entertain your own story of survival. The end of this game is when you've had enough, or it's time for mods, and their are ALOT of mods for this game that make it spectacular. Great with friends, paranoia simulator if your on a server with no friends. I find it best in Single Player though, you can speed up or slow time down on various things. Your world, your life, the meaning, it's all up to you, in a giant world map to enjoy.

Far too addicting. Plus if you ever think you dont have enough time to play, the shifts, which are your play sessions in the salvage yard, are 15 minutes long. You can keep coming back every time but it'll add $500k to your debt (like real life!) with every session but often you will make between $2-6,000,000 without trying much. Great story about how life was crushing before being a shipbreaker and now you signed your rights away to work for someone who sees you as an insect but pays you well.. while giving you the 'privilege' to work as a shipbreaker, you now owe $1,000,000,000 of debt to pay off. Soon what real estate prices are going to be like or the bread and milk.
