Personally this is my kinda cosy game, which is very unlike the style I see many cosy games being created. It's a chill, puzzle game, with no crazy grinding for XP or a certain item. Purely story with clever dialogue and a lot of witty puns and humour.

I started playing Kingdom of Loathing 15 years ago a few years before the multiplayer dungeon release. The content on KOL was a bit too much to keep up as studies and work life took more of my time. I'm seriously glad hat Assymmetric released West of Loathing and Shadows of Loathing for us who love the writing, the wit and just want a chillax game on weekends.

Shadows of Loathing require multiple playthroughs to get all the achievements. On the repeat playthroughs, it's optional to do certain side quests and you can pretty much skip to the main storyline to setup what is needed for the achievement. Some planning required to speed through the run. Once you have a rough idea what you need to do for the run, you can just play within a sitting or whenever you have time but eyyyy this has always been what the Loathing games been about ;)
