I really enjoy this game, it's very fun and well developed. This is the first time I play a more "serious" racing game, as I have been a huge fan of fantasy-arcade racing games in the past, and I really enjoy driving in this game. The presentation is good, I run it at native 4K on a slightly overclocked 4060ti (16GB) at almost perfectly constant 60FPS, that is with nearly everything on ultra except car reflections, particles and anti aliasing on low, with the front lights turned off. Turning on the front lights takes around 5 to 8 FPS away for me.
There's a lot of cars and a lot of variety in the terrain and stages. I play with an 8BitDo ccontroller and works perfectly fine.
I don't know why this game has mixed reviews, it has worked perfectly for me with nearly 0 crashes and is decently well optimized.
What I dislike is the main menu and game modes, I think it's unnecessarily convoluted, I wish "quick play" was actually quick play... like choose a stage, choose a car and just drive, but you have to set up a championship and stuff, I guess it's more realistic like that but I personally don't appreciate it. And I specially dislike the career mode. I just wish there was a mode in which you get into the driving quicker. Besides that, it occasionally takes a while to launch, I don't know why, it launches very quickly most of the time, but from time to time it takes even a few minutes to launch. These are just minor problems, the game is great.

This game is great. I recommend this game if you already like turn based combat.

What I like is the combat and the character build planning. You manage your action points each turn, and each character has its own different mechanics that make the turn planning deeper. For example, one character has different stances, different skills make you switch to different stances, and skills can have specific effects when you're in one specific stance, so you can plan your build to cycle through the stances in a certain order in a certain amount of turns to maximize damage, etc.
There are also real time actions you take during turns, like properly timing inputs for dodge and parry, which seems to be a controversial design choice for a "turn based" RPG, but I personally don't mind it too much. It forces you to stay focused for long times when battles prolong too much.

The music is good, the art is good too. The game runs well on a 4060 ti 16GB, I use quality settings DLLS on a 4K display and run it at around 50-60 FPS. Could probably achieve same FPS on native 1440p, but native 4K lowers the framerate too much on this card.

What I dislike the most about this game is the pacing and the strong focus on narrative. It takes a long time to get into the actual game, and the product is too much filled with cutscenes, way too often. I usually don't care that much about stories in games and I'm more focused on gameplay mechanics, and this game makes it very hard for me to not skip every cutscene and dialogue. What I hate the most is finishing a boss and seeing a long cutscene (understandable), then walk 20 seconds to the new location just to see another long movie... Just throw the whole movie at once, why start a new cutscene after 20 steps? There are some other aspects to criticize about the game, like how inconvenient it is to not have overworld fast travel while you actually do have fast travel within each confined location, the amount of filler skills and items and the often crashes for what seems to be a substantial proportion of the players, including me (a crash every 3 hours or so).

Overall, this game is really a lot of fun, but I wish it had less focus on the story, much fewer cutscenes (and shorter) and much much more focus on combat and exploration, it would be great to walk around larger areas with more varied enemies and not just have 4 or 5 battles between 10 minute long movies. Another aspect I dislike is the seemingly disjointed visual style in some places where assets seem to be just randomly placed around the locations, and some very few characters and places that I entirely dislike and look out of place (mimes for example).

This game is awesome. It has some problems, some of them pretty serious, but overall, it's amazing.

The game has a lot of very varied content, many unique locations and enemies. Every different place in this game looks uniquely designed and crafted. Chinese mythology is a rare setting for a game too, and I think it's very interesting.

The combat is not very forgiving: you have to memorize bosses' patterns and attack animations to properly punish them. That's just like any other game, but in this game there's not much of "recovery time" after you fall or anything, nor any animation cancels so you can dodge attacks when you are in the mid of performing your own attack combo; in this game you are still vulnerable even if you are on the ground and cannot move, if an enemy throws you to the ground, and he hits you again before the standing up animation has ended, that attack will land. Some attacks will make you flinch or "stagger" on hit, and if you receive a second or even third attack during that stagger animation, you will receive all that damage. Some of your animations are pretty long, and once you have started that animation, you cannot cancel it with a different move or a dodge, so you better think if you really have time for that heavy attack, because if you get hit during the animation, even if you react by inputting a dodge, you will take the damage. So you have to memorize bosses' patterns very well and their animation timings, so you know exactly when to dodge and how many attacks can you perform when there's an opening.

My main complaint is the invisible walls. It's often unclear where you're allowed to go. Sometimes you can jump on seemingly complex rock formations, and other times there’s a clear, open space that looks accessible but isn’t. It feels inconsistent and can be frustrating. I’ve wasted a lot of time trying to reach places that ultimately weren’t meant to be reached.
The game is also pretty demanding, but it's also very pretty so I think it's somewhat expected, unlike some other very demanding, yet very ugly games.
There's no input settings... besides choosing between two different controller "types", which I find very strange. There's also no full screen... like WTF??? I also don't enjoy that when you die, you have to watch a death animation and wait for the game to put you at the last shrine you visited... which takes a while and gets boring when you have to try some bosses so many times before defeating them. Maybe I'm just too bad at this game and other people beat the bosses on their first try?

Music is great and very tastefully composed and placed, sound design and presentation are great too. I really like this game!

This is a 2D guessing game that features some characters from an old fighting game franchise called "Tekken", which lasted from Tekken 1 until Tekken Tag Tournament 2. It's fun to see these classic characters in a different genre of games, although this game can be frustrating, specially for avid players of the older games.
Tekken 8 is filled with panic buttons and mechanics designed specifically to frustrate players that valued the design of past games, such as heat, heat smash, power crushes and rage arts (introduced in Tekken 7).

It also introduces characters designed to infuriate and be hated by 95% of the players, such as Victor and Clive, that look completely out of place fighting any other character and on any stage.

This game contains long movies that will keep you staring at the screen for up to 25 seconds, they call these "combos" and "rage art". I recommend alt-tabbing as soon as you get launched and get some work done while your opponent performs his combo, as they are like 15 hit combos on average now, unlike the 3 to 5 hit max damage combos in Tekken 3.

They supposedly introduced new mechanics to make the game easier to pickup for beginners, but I think the result has been exactly the opposite: Tekken is more complicated than ever before, as all the moves already had so many properties to be studied (frames on hit, frames on block, frames on counter hit, tracking to one side, track to the other side, range, is it a special mid or normal mid, how punishable is it on whiff, does it hit grounded, does it work on this combo, is it guaranteed after that other move, does it have extensions, is it a launcher, does it guarantee any other move afterwards or they can block even if at -15, etc.), and now they add heat... which changes some of these properties for many of your moves, while adding even more moves that you can perform only while in heat. So, in addition to all the other properties, now you have to consider "does it start heat, what if I'm already in heat, does it end the heat state, is it a counter hit launcher on heat??".

Overall, this is a game with pretty graphics, decently well optimized, with local multiplayer so you can pretend to have fun with friends and family, and works well. I have not experienced a single crash so far. It's not fun, but it's a decently well developed software.

*2025.05 The game is crashing on one of the startup screens for many people now. I think it started with the latest Nvidia driver update for me. You can read on the Discussion boards that I'm not the only one experiencing this. It's a shame, it's a very fun game.

This game is awesome. It performs nearly perfect at native 4K, max settings with a 4060 ti (single player). It has split screen multiplayer, which seems to have become a rarity in racing games lately, and is the reason I bought this game, so I can play with friends and family. This is very well developed, the menus and controls are intuitive, with a bunch of graphic and control settings, and I have not experienced a single crash so far. You can retry tracks at the end without going through any loading screens too. Most importantly, it's a lot of fun. Graphics are good considering this was released in 2020 and it performs that good. I 100% recommend this game if you want to have fun with friends with split screen multiplayer.

This was my first experience with a God of War game, and It's also my last. I thought this was an action game, but the little time I spent with it felt like an eternal cutscene with a few "guided, interactive sections" in between, and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quick time event as the cherry on top. I guess it’s good if you like movies

First, you can actually play this port with a keyboard, you don't really need a controller. It says "controller required" and even a popup warns you that you need one, but you don't. The keyboard and control settings are a bit "unusual" and somewhat convoluted: you need to assign a keyboard key to each "controller button" in the keyboard settings and then set which action each "controller button" does in the separate controller setting. You set the keyboard keys with a "carousel selector", going key by key, instead of pressing them, but on the controller settings you actually press them.

Second, this is a good port, I'm playing it in a 12 year old computer without any issues so far. It only stutters when YOU die. I'm not sure if I’m remembering correctly, but I think this also happened in the Dreamcast. It's probably a design choice so you can clearly see what killed you, as it freezes for a fraction of a second the last frame before you explode.

Finally, this is among the finest games in the entire shmup genre, and the best one available on Steam. It has excellent, fast paced gameplay with nice, sober graphics (dated, but nice) and excellent music. The explosions are very satisfying and it has a semi realistic setting with cool mechanical designs, ships, tanks, etc. This is the game I always recommend to people who want to get into shmups for the first time, as it's a very refined game that is not overwhelmingly difficult. This is a great masterpiece that we can finally play on PC. I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone who wants to get into shoot em ups for the first time and to any shmup fans who haven’t played it yet.

Good looking terrible game. Enjoyed the first 2 games a lot, specially when playing co-op, but this one just seems unfinished.
