Most overhyped franchise in existence. Boring story and characters, repetitive core gameplay and infuriating broken UI. How does every title amass millions of players is beyond me.

The sequel is quite a different experience from the first one. Whereas the first game required you to build around the generator for efficient heating, this one does not. Instead, the city layout is based on the location of your resources and careful planning of your districts adjacency bonuses. Overall, I like the gameplay and I don't mind the attempt to innovate the core gameplay of the first game, but the game is lacking a couple of things: some QOL changes for city management, the main story feels very short and some problems in the city become too easy to solve, mainly by having way too much fuel and the ability to stockpile it makes the heating problem trivial by the midpoint of the story. More importantly, the story is missing a key ingredient; the first game from the start sets a very harsh tone; it throws a lot of curveballs at you and just when you thought you had one problem under control, you'd get another (or multiple) pressing emergency on your hand which made a lot of impact on the overall tone of bleakness and hopelessness of the game. That tone made your success all the more satisfying which I think the sequel lacks. Still a decent sequel.

This game looks really fun, unfortunately it is borderline unplayable at any serious difficulty due to the most horrendous movement I've ever witnessed in a videogame.

My village inevitably crumbles under unceasing, linearly growing disapproval over minimal taxes. First month peasants are pissed because I started to tax them. Next month they are more pissed because I tax them AND I also taxed them last month. Next month they are even more pissed because I tax them, I taxed them last month AND month before that. Newsflash peasants, that's how taxes work. You pay them over and over until you die. Get on with the times.

I'm not a big fan of 5e ruleset even for a tabletop DnD, but putting it into constricted digital framework, combined with average story and god-awful voice acting and dialogue, shows just how unimaginative and boring the mechanics of 5e actually are.

The Phantom Pain might be a good stealth game but unfortunately it is a bad MGS game.

FromSoftware should take notes on how to make actual good combat mechanics.

This game is beyond garbage.

Where Is The Lamb Sauce Simulator. 10/10

I've stumbled upon this absolute gem of a game trough Humble Choice and it turned out to be one of the most captivating city building experiences ever. As a leader of your people that struggle for survival in harsh and uninhabitable frozen wasteland of a post-apocalyptic Earth, you guide your people through various economical and social issues game throws at you. Game can be pretty challenging on harder difficulties and provides one of the most atmospheric and butt-clenching experiences as you watch your people freeze to death in -80°C blizzard in attempt to secure coal for your already half-dying heat generator. Extra content is included with Season Pass in form of various scenarios and endless mode, but I feel gameplay works best when accompanied with scripted story/events as it is the case with game's main story.
