I bought this when it was on sale but I recommend it at full price too. I feel like it actually makes me more productive. It has a timer, to do list, ambient sounds, lo-fi music, the whole shebang lol. You can not only use it when working, but also when cleaning or even gaming. You have custom characterisation, the game rewards you when checking off your to do list, finishing a timer or just by spending time in-game. When you need a 'lil break you can decorate your room. Honestly I didn't expect my productivity to actually go up so much when I work but it did! It's just such a good, vibey game to put on in the background and it makes working at home so much more enjoyable!

One of the best games I've ever played. I personally loved the turned based combat, it's different than the usual turned based combat systems because of the dodge and parry system. Try to parry from the start, I ignored parry and dodged most of the time because it has a bigger time window and I regret it as it's harder to learn how to parry now.

You will cry in the first 15 minutes, and I've never cried so hard and long about a character death . The story was so incredibly unique and a surprise at every turn and I really hope they make more games that take place in this universe. Even after finishing the story line there is still stuff I want to finish in the game that are optional but flesh out the world even more. If you can, don't look anything up beforehand. I didn't and I'm glad I went in blind. Spoilers are a bit hard to avoid though, at least they were for me, so if you come across anything about the game: SCROLL.

I bought it with a key which made it a bit cheaper but I would pay the full price if I were to buy it again as I think it's a 100% worth it and the devs deserve the support. So yeah, unless you strongly dislike story based games or turned based combat you'll probably like this game :)

Best OST I've ever heard for a game too, so definitely check that out if you don't plan to play the game (but don't if you do plan to play it, let yourself be surprised :) )

You can pet the cat :)

In all seriousness though, I was quite surprised at this game! I went in not knowing a lot about it but it really got me into the autumn vibes. Very dark academia if you will. I eventually did look up a guide for some parts but the puzzles are definitely solvable in the game, partly because there's a hint button if you're stuck. It is relatively short, so if you can, buy it on sale. It took me about 9 hours to complete. Overall great game! :)

It's a good game! I'm pretty sure I bought it while on sale and I would recommend to do that. I liked most stories a lot, and it's beautifully written, but I's really short. It took me about 2 hours to complete. It's not complicated at all gameplay wise, it's just a story you walk through, so don't expect anything challenging. So I would recommend it while it's on sale!

So I just wanted to post a review as someone who both wasn't really a gamer before playing this (mostly minecraft & stardew valley) and is a girl (which doesn't matter if you don't care, it's just that I find it helpful to read reviews by girls myself because it might go more in depth about the things that matter to me personally :) )

So I really enjoyed this game. It's a story driven game with customisation, a great plot and romance ( ;))) )

What made me want to play the game was the fact that it's a dnd game, which means that your choices matter and it's narrated. I went in knowing nothing but that and I'm glad I did. At the time of writing this review (almost 190 hours in) I haven't finished my first playthrough and am putting off finishing it.

The customisation is pretty good. In faces you are limited and in hair a bit too, but luckily this game is VERY moddable. I haven't modded yet myself but am planning to in my second playthrough. So if you don't love the way your character looks or don't like the armour you can mod your game to look how you want it to!

The story is great, don't let the intro scare you off (which it did when I did my first ever look at the game through a playthrough lol), it's not all... slimey. I'll leave it at that, it's best to go in blind (even though you'll probably look up guides later )

Romance is fun! Not the main part of the story but very interesting! Every characters story is very interesting and worth exploring (unless you want to be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, which is certainly an option)

Something I'm personally happy about (which some people might criticize me for) is the fact that you can redo stuff if you don't like the direction of which the story is headed. There is a lot of wiggleroom and freedom if you feel like something isn't going the way you'd like it to.

Something I love is the exploring you can do. I love to go everywhere and check out everything which does pay off in this game. Curious souls will be satisfied!

Combat is turn based which I personally like a LOT. I feel like it's a lot more strategic in comparison to just normal fighting combat (not sure what that kind of combat is called, pretty new gamer y'all). That might just be because I suck at that kind of combat though lol.

One important tip (and something I realised way too late) is that you need to keep saving. If you die/something you don't enjoy happens, you might need to load your previous save which can be a WHILE back if it's just an autosave. I've made that mistake once or twice. (saving is f5 and loading your previous save is f8 ;) )

My only complaints are the bugs MOSTLY in act 3, but on the flip side is that I reported a bug once and the team behind bg3 contacted me immediately to ask for my save file and I reckon it will be fixed in the next bug update. They seem to care a lot!

From what I've seen the community is great too, nothing weird going on. Overall the best game I've played and definitively worth the money if you're worried about the price :)
