Review Showcase
I've played all the games in the Divinity series several times over, I'm a fan of their work so, it's possible that my review is not entirely objective. Because Original Sin was such an amazing game, I've followed the progress of its successor's development and watched how Larian, with the help of the community, turned Original Sin 2 into an even better game.

The freedom you have in Original Sin 2 while exploring and the way you're progressing through the game is some of the best I've seen. It gave me mixed feelings of excitement and nostalgia which, at times, made me forget that I'm in the year 2017, and feel the same way that I did while playing Torment or Fallout. It felt new and enticing, the areas are varied and the content is hidden behind actually talking with people or having to read stuff to know what to do. You can mess up and miss out on quests if you kill people and your actions have consequences, I know, I killed everyone in a playtrough. NPC's are not immortal just because they have a generic quest attached to them.

If you're unsure on whether to purchase the game or not, I'll try to help.

PROS:
- Varied, visual detailed and beautiful areas. No recycled content (like Generic caves 1 to 40 in Dragon Age 2);
- Detailed origin stories that have an effect over multiple encounters in the game;
- Fully and adequately voice acted(Apart from 1-2 encounters);
- Lots of class combinations and spell interactions;
- Extremely satisfying combat;
- Level-dependent loot system;
- Loads of exploration;
- Puzzles;
- A plethora of quests, fun ones;
- Excellent writing;
- Interesting and useful crafting system;
- Actions/Consequences;
- You can follow your own path and still achieve the endgame;
- It does not have the price of an AAA title, it's only 45 euros and offers far more content than its competitors.

CONS:

- In the first few days the game seemed a bit rushed, there's still room for improvements/optimizations;
- Using more resources than Mass Effect: Andromeda/ The Witcher 3 on Ultra seems a bit of an overkill;
- Found a few placeholder items and unfinished areas;
- Difficulties do not make enemies smarter or, at least, they don't appear to be doing it. It's just hp/armor/damage multiplier;
- Entire difficult fights can be won instantly;
- Sending items to party members is not proximity based;
- Pruned talent trees compared to Original Sin;

Few of Today's companies have the dedication and experience to release a polished and entertaining product that offers huge amounts of content at such a low cost. Well, Larian did it. They released decent content in the past but their latest games have shown a huge level of interest in their users, the feedback they provide and they genuinely seemed to care about their work. I can't wait for your next game, keep up the good work guys!
