All I can say is WOW. I wasn't a huge fan of Portia, personally. It just never really GRABBED me, but I cannot put this down. The QoL upgrades over Portia are HUGE, that characters are all unique, and the gameplay loops are amazing. Feel like I'm about halfway done and I'm nearly 70 hours in, so LOTS of content, well worth it!

After one full play-through, I can't recommend this game enough. The replay-ability is amazing in this game. There are choices and decisions to make around every single corner that matter to the story you're crafting. I think the heart of this game is truly in its companion system and getting to know your traveling partners. Just buy it, don't ask questions about the plot out of the game, don't dig too deep and spoil anything, just play it and see where the adventure takes you. Want a different outcome? Try it again with different choices. Game of the year in my opinion and one of the best games to hit the market in years.

Have played about 300 hours on PS5, the modability of the game makes it endlessly playable. Definitely one of the all time greats, and one of those games you wish you could experience for the first time again.

Very similar to Stardew, but with a stoneage skin. I think that the villagers all have unique personalities so far and there are plenty of mini games and lots to discover. Highly recommend for anyone who is a fan of farming sims!

Such a great, cute, and cozy game to play and get lost in. Even better, it's very easily moddable into whatever you want it to be.

Really fun and cute life sim with a witchy twist. Its pretty basic in terms of 'game systems' so I wouldn't walk into it expecting something on the level of Stardew, but Wylde Flowers is in a category of its own. It has a fully voice acted campaign and a multitude of day lengths to choose from to fit your style. So far, I'm really enjoying it. Definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys a game that gives you a similar cozy feeling to a cup of hot cocoa.

This is hands down some one of the best Indie Games I've ever played. For $20 you get an absolute mountain of content that plops you into a charming, gorgeous fantasy universe, perfectly blended with the Stardew/Animal Crossing life sim. There is farming, there is romance, there is mining, there are boss fights, you name it. Best of all, there is no limited daily stamina and the day length can be modified pretty much to your hearts desire so each day can be full of activity, or kept relaxed, its entirely up to the player. Speaking of, the sheer amount of choice in this game is wild. I'm only about 25 hours in and I seriously feel like I've only just dipped my toe into the well of content this game has to offer. Seriously, if you're thinking about it, just do it!

In it's current state I just can't recommend New World.

Pros:
-The combat is really smooth. That's one of the things I do really enjoy about the game.
-The crafting and gathering system is also pretty cool.

Cons:
-Pretty much everything else. The economy is broken as it has been since launch, and the 'market' itself isn't exactly straightforward.
-The biggest drawback for me is the total lack of content. Each zone you go to is aetetically slightly different which is cool, but the game recycles the exact same mobs all across the continent. Fighting zombies gets pretty old after a while. A bit of variety in both questing and the world population would really go a long way.'

Until the game gets at the very least some variety, it's just a grindfest, so in it's current state I really can't suggest this game.

2023 update: Still holds its own as one of the greatest RPG's ever made. Playing this game after the next-gen update with a few mods is seriously one of the most fun experiences I've had in a long time. The story of this game is second to none, and the 2022 update gave the game an infusion of modern graphics that makes it replayable for even those who've beaten the game several times over. Each time I hit a quest I've played before, I find something new. Seriously wish I could wipe my memory and experience this game for the first time again.

Old:

Quite possibly the best game I have ever played. From enviornment to story to combat, an all around gem of gaming.
