Spiritfarer easily became of one of my cherished indie games of all time rather quickly. It has so much beauty and allure in its depth. You can tell how hard Thunder Lotus worked on crafting such a work of art - the music, the dialogue, even the hand drawn lines add its own sort of intimacy to the story.

Spiritfarer tackles heavy topics such as death, depression, cancer, dementia, the human struggle (without even overtly naming them)... and consequently is littered with life's toughest lessons - saying goodbye being at the heart of it. These metaphorical dances paints somber adversities in a beautiful light but at the same time, heart wrenching. Back to its subtlely in defining each human struggle - this makes it such a thought provoking game, an introspective journey, if you will.

I really urge you to try this game, play through it, and really reflect on each character and the life lessons they bring forth (before jumping into any wiki / game article).

I thought I was picking up a little pick-me-up but now I REALLY need a pick-me-up after this. :')

Ohhhh I want to recommend this so bad. I've been debating on whether or not to keep pushing through more hours and see how it pans out. But this is at least how I feel at 13 hours in:

Vampyr is ambitious. It has a lot of GREAT ideas that I'd love to see in future games. It's a dialogue-heavy choice-based game, with a great plot, graphics, voice acting. The OST is pretty dope too.

BUT - As someone who moderately values a good plot/voice acting/graphics over janky mechanics and gameplay. Vampyr is pushing it a little.

If you're considering on diving into Vampyr, consider these few points:
  1. For a choice heavy game - the save system is awful. 1 save slot that only auto-saves (but also doesn't indicate when it does. This will be frustrating.
  2. In order to level through the game (if you choose to do so), you'll need to 'rest'. Resting resets all monster, mini boss spawns throughout the entire map. The benefits of killing these mobs are little to none. The exp gain is terrible and therefore make the game incredibly grindy to amass enough exp for a skill. (I'm someone that actually loves grinding.. this is a bit much.)
  3. No fast travel. This wouldn't be as frustrating if the latter point wasn't a problem. Not a fan of getting chased through the map getting from point to point. And I'd like to add - the map isn't small either..

I may give the game more of a shot in the future and update my review accordingly.. but.. as it stands, I'm disappointed.

I normally don't write reviews for big games everyone knows about but Horizon is one of my absolute favourites. It's STUNNING. Stealth, combat, they're all so fun. I was engulfed in the story... even the DLC is GREAT. I could go on and on but just read all the other reviews!!

p.s. pleaaaaaaaase don't wait 3 years till Forbidden West comes out on PC :(

Honestly, Lince Works did a great job on this game. A few gripes here and there, like little bugs and weird glitches... but hey.. Lince Works is an indie studio - a kick ass one. Aragami 2 is different than the first for those that are looking for something exactly the same. I was a bit surprised at first as well - but very quickly grew to love this one. There are more combos to completion, smoother/faster mechanics.. They did more work on combat gameplay (which I rarely used since I'm here for the stealth), but that doesn't mean they didn't rework the stealth aspect in great ways as well.

My takeaway here is, if you're looking for a replica of the first, you're not going to find it. (Though with the addition of a new classic mode, it can be helpful..) But honestly, keep an open mind. It'll be a great time.

wow ok. Small game with huuuge potential!
I've enjoyed it so much I'm already itching for new content.
There are some minor areas of frustration... (hotkey vs clicking to feed, only 2 speed modes, etc.)

But hey, it's a cute card game for a few bucks and 3-5 hours of content.
Devs, don't stop here, please please! ♡

Update: After just a day of posting this initial review, some quality of life updates have been released! More speed modes, coin chests cap at 100 vs. 30 prior, balancing updates, bug fixes, moving cards during paused mode(!!), etc. Neaaaaaaaaaaat. Thanks for listening to us, devs. I dig it!

If I knew even slightly of how much of a panic-inducing game this would be for me, I never would've given it a chance! (I'm terrified of being chased :D). But I truly am so glad I did. A Plague Tale is gruesome, its depressing, TERRIFYING at times... but it is amazing. Immersive. Beautiful underneath all those rodent screeches and gooey walls.

I highly recommend this game. It's incredibly linear but it hasn't bothered me as the plot, atmosphere, mechanics, voice acting, they all got me. (Tho the lack of facial expressions in certain rage-filled cut scenes were weird???). Lots of stealth and puzzle sections. The ammo and ammo crafting system are very similar to Horizon: Zero Dawn - all things I like! Play this, friends!

So, I LOVE Puzzle/management games.. and this really hits the spot! I honestly really didn't think this would pull me in as much as it did. It initially reminded me a lot of mini metro but I'm so glad to find that it's so much more. It can be a relaxing and fun game but can turn quite stressful for perfectionists/completionists attempting to hit 5 stars on each level. (which means there is a super rewarding aspect of completion)... though be prepared to sit tight and very thoroughly plan through each stage.
