One of the best Sonic games ever. If you didn`t play it, you should give it a try, it's a classic for a reason =)

Game to finish and get all achievements in 30 minutes, not much to explore, but it's fun, good gameplay and great art design!
If it was $1.00 it would still worth your money, but it's free, so what are you waiting for? Play it! =)

I would recommend this game if you like graphics and a good story... The environment is interesting and there is a good voice acting! Additionally, I really recommend to play with a controller!

Now, I need to talk about the bad things of this game...
It's too much linear!!! You are not free to go anywhere, you can't explore... The game, taking off the battle parts, is based on parkour... but you need to do exactly as said, it's really hard to get some jump wrong because you can't... The game does not give you any freedom to exploration or do wrong moves...

Short version of this review: Beautifull and fun!!! 9.9/10

The game is stunning and really fun to play! It's a metroidvania style, with a beautiful story, gorgeous environment and really well made power ups and controls.
Highly recommended to use a Xbox Controller to play it! xD

This game was going to be 10/10 to me, but fails in only one thing, and I believe that's important to know if you would like to finish with 100% (like I wanted to do):
When you finish the game, you can't go back... your save file is locked, so if you want to get everything, do it before the final scene!

A true free to play on steam, that deserves to be paid. This game is really good, it gives you the feeling of playing in an old computer! They really did a great job with this experience.
The game is fun, a tribute to old platformers that deserves your time.
Even if it was paid I would recommend this, but it's free, so stop reading this review and go play it! =)

Great multiplayer experience! Innovative mechanic, quite fun to play with friends.
As a single player experience, the AI is not too good, so you will have fun for just a few minutes...

I strongly recommend this game for a multiplayer experience, but if you intend to play just single player, it does not worth the full price.

I played this game when it was released (2001), it was amazing!!!
The bullet time mechanic is awesome, everything works incredibly fine, the graphics was great for the time...

Now, I played this 15 years later...
The graphics didn't aged so bad as expected and the gameplay is still awesome! You probably will start the game thinking that it don't worth your time, because it's a really old game, but from the first 30 minutes, if you aren't hooked... Ask for a refund! However, I believe that you will never ask for a refund for this game! xD

Playing this game again I could see how much the Max Payne 3 got worst than this one, this and the second game are the true Max Payne experience, and if you didn't tried it yet, you should!

With only 1.5 hours of gameplay I don't want to play it anymore...
I hated it... I wanted to like it, I tried, I watched some videos of people that love the game playing, I hated every second of it, please stop saying that this game is good! It's just hyped and broken.

If you want to play this game, thinking about a action game, don't do that.
If you want to play this game because you think that it's an action RPG game, don't do that.
I dare to say that this game is broken, ugly, slow, and the gameplay is horrible.
The battles rely more on strategy than ability. (I'm not saying that this is bad, but that's not what is promised with this game)

This game is a tentative of an action RPG, but it's broken.
The core mechanic of the game is that it uses high difficulty on battles to teach players how to react in hostile environments, encouraging repetition, learning from past mistakes, and prior experience as a means of overcoming its difficulty. I dare to say that this difficulty comes from the broken controls, slow gameplay, inhibiting ability of the player, relying only on strategy.

About the story, you start in some place, you don't know why (and you never will know that), and you need to go, (without any clue why you should do that and where you need to go)... From wikipedia:
"Dark Souls has a minimalistic plot and it is mostly left up to the player to put the pieces of the story together. ", in other words, imagine the story and just go...

The difficulty comes from hard battles and from the feeling that you don't know where to go, because there are not a clear story.
There are no reward playing this game, the graphics by default are horrible on PC (thinking about the time that the game was made), and the fan base have stupid arguments to say that this game is good.

I really tried to enjoy it (because I have some friends that loved this game), but I have too many good games to play before I try this one again...

Additionally, I would like to say that since I played only 90 minutes, maybe after that the game starts to get better and harder, but from the first 90 minutes it was an unpleasant, easy, and painful game.
