So I see a lot of negative things about this game, but the game is not that bad!
This is why I see why people hate the game:
-Or the reviews were made in a stage that the game was not completely finshed yet
-Or the reviewer clearly rage-quit because of the hard first matches
-The game was not properly played

So yes it is true the game was crap for some time, huge serverlags, bugs, more lags, crashes. But this is not the case anymore, The game is well made now, and most of the serverlag is gone (exept if you have games with 5000+ units) but hey, what do you expect from 5000 individual AI's? They take up resources on the CPU and that will make the game eventually lag on the servers.

So let's talk about the current build (76557)
Good things:
- Easy to learn the game, but hard to win/master (the lowest AI is quite hard to defeat as a new player)
- HUGE battles
- Offline and Online. Yes, it got added now! (Offline mode will take more resources from your computer)
- Mod support
- Competitive play (1 vs 1, by Uber and larger battles organized by clans)
- Leaderboards (For the ranked matches) + being able to see the last match of top 3 players
- Ability to watch your own games later on
- Good music
- Full configurability of every action and keybinding

Bad things:
- Bad intro video and tutorial video (they use YouTube for that)
- Galatic War (Their try of an campaign) is repetative and luck is a great aspect if you win
- No voice chat yet

So for me it is one of the best RTSes I have played. It is less tactical then Total War for instance. But to win this game you have to manage your economy and unit production well, to overcome your enemy.
So definetly buy this game if it's and sale or not (depends how much money you have) and just play it! I recommend that you start with a friend because I see a lot of people quitting the game becuase in the beginning it can be quite hard to win a game against Human, or AI. If you have no friends: Join or specatate an online match and look at what others do, thats the best way to learn! :)
