I have about 200 hours of this on Epic, I enjoy playing, but it is a rough start for new players. I ended up quitting very early on then coming back to it a couple years later and it clicked. For an idle game, the starter experience is anything but, and is probably the time where players are most likely to feel like they have to spend money for a better experience. The game can feel confusing/dense with regular missions then unlocking challenge modes of the mission (called variants), so you're unsure what you're meant to do to progress

The game does have a fair bit of monetisation but you can get by without it. There is a constant rotation of mini events and giveaways of new characters and chests. The developers give away around 10-20 chests every week, along with a better one in the weekly newsletter, there are websites and the main discord that collate the codes. Non-newsletter codes expire after a week

A short game where a play through is about 30-60mins depending on how fast you plough through it. You play as a non-descript teen on the run looking to cross the border at road 96. The over-arching story plays out as you complete further runs, encountering a bunch of characters and see how their stories progress. The story is less about you directly, and more about you being a part of others stories.

Mouse control feels a bit unwieldy sometimes, but the game is walking-sim, so it's not something to be concerned with. Get it on sale

the gameplay is fantastic, the monetisation is awful. try not to spend too much money on overpriced bundles

Early Access Review
The gameplay is fun (except for attacking slowing your movement speed, which is exactly what you want to be doing the whole time), there are shrines that give temporary or run-long buffs, your characters have gear.

Thematically it feels like a cross between Diablo and Hades-like bullet heaven with the gods power interaction/conversation being lifted directly from Hades. Gods are all designed in a fairly sexy way, with the female gods being drawn far more sexually with impractical outfits. I'd like if they toned down their outfits, out sexed up the males outfits, just even them out somehow. God art seems like it maybe needs a polish pass, there's just something that looks like all the gods need a run of finishing touches. The sexual disparity continues on with the playable characters

The dialogue between characters is bad and the way it's conveyed is terrible. They really don't need to be have their conversations written out like they're 13 year olds online

e - the cooldown on the first bosses charge seems really short, definitely a struggle to defeat them currently. Looking forward to coming back to it in the future

a short decision making game mixed with resource management. find allies and raise enough of an army to defend your kingdom as a few differently political intrigue stories play out. sometimes i wonder if choices i made actually mattered given how the events play out, but at the very least if you enjoy having to balance a budget with keeping your constituents happy, then it should appeal. looking forward to playing the sequel one day

a farming style rpg with a defined ending. you can probably finish it in 30-35 hours if you only focused on the story. the game parodies/memes on various tropes making for ridiculous yet delightful short cutscenes. most combat related gameplay is forgiving

i'm really happy with my time playing the game. the glacial area theme is lovely

such a lovely game with a few heart-breaking twists and turns.

the combat is okay but can feel clunky/heavy, and some characters/dialogues feel a bit 1 dimensional or lead the plot to where it's going unnecessarily, but on the whole i think it's very good. the cousins relationship was very nice, i only wish they were able to put in a little bit more of them, and maybe cut some of the side quests
