Exactly what I was looking for: Great gameplay (a modernized version of old classics), great graphics, super fun and awesome community support! Game is addicting as hell!

It's already one of my favorite racing games of all time. It's EXACTLY what I was looking for! I hope the devs make a rally or a GT game after this BANGER! Also, the Hot Lap update is superb... at showing me how awful I am at this game.

I remember I was at a local barbershop when the first trailer was released and it was an instant hype-drive for me. I got the game some time later, and fell completely in love in a few minutes.

It's no secret that developing a game can be quite challenging, and people lost hope on this one, but I've never lost faith. I vividly read all the bi-weekly updates as soon as they came out because deep down I knew this game deserved the time it would take to finish and polish it. And thank god we waited.

Wrath is absolutely incredible. It's that kind of game that gets you thinking about it whenever you're doing something else. I honestly tried to write this review only when I eventually beat it, but I couldn't (I'm in the middle of Act II) wait any longer. It has so many qualities and features that list them would feel like an exaggeration, but here I come! The world needs to know about this gem!

> Godly environments and level design. The maps are gigantic, filled with secrets and places to explore. There's so much richness and detail in each one of the levels you play that it honestly feels almost overwhelming. It's amazing! (Although we would greatly benefit from a map).
> Incredible weapons and movement. You feel rewarded playing this, gibbing monsters and thinking about using primary or alternate fire to wreck your enemies. The game gets you on your feet, you are not allowed to make many mistakes, and the need to priorize certain enemies is the key to survivability. Your melee blade also pushes you forward great distances, allowing you to enhance your playstyle with speed and maneuverability.
> Awesome gear system. You have a bunch of relics available to you to improve your gameplay, from life syphoning artifacts to deflective shields, a plethora of items are at your disposal to ease the difficulties or to just have some fun turning monsters against each other and seeing them destroying themselves. Perhaps the only item that's really necessary is the "Drowner's Apparatus", to go through some water filled parts in a few levels. Bear in mind, you don't have quick saves in Wrath, so use your Soul Tethers with wisdom.
> Amazing worldbuilding! The atmosphere in Wrath is remarkable! The enemies are horrifying creatures that are so well-designed, modeled (and received quite a few upgrades from their old early-access counterparts) and, maybe the most important feature of all, easily identifiable. In a fast-paced combat game like this one, you need to always be aware of your surroundings and whatever is coming at you.
> Perhaps the only thing that really kind of let me down was the music. I would like some more flavor to it, to be honest. The overall sound design in Wrath is superb, but the songs aren't remarkable at all. (If you are a metalhead like I am, put some Rotting Christ, Uada, Mephorash or Original Batushka while playing it, it really scratches the itch of a more dynamic soundtrack).

Overall, Wrath: Aeon of Ruin is a fantastic FPS, even with the troubled development and the constant delays, it was really worth the wait and I can't stress this enough.

First of all, the game needs to be better balanced as soon as possible.

With that said, this game rocks!

I got frustrated when facing my opponents online because I didn't figure how to earn more cards, I thought It was only through the shop with real money, but I was completely wrong! This game rewards you for just playing, accomplishing missions, winning games and progressing through the campaign (one for each faction). Once you understand how the campaign and the forge work, you'll see that this game is quite generous, to be honest. You can even buy cards directly with in-game currency, no need to spend a dime! And the last campaign mission (that gives you a booster pack with 5 cards of the chosen faction) is repeatable forever!

It's a really polished game (except for the UI, it's pretty ugly), the sound design is amazing, the artwork is wonderful, and I hope they continue adding more factions and heroes! I really need a Weirdboy Hero, and Adeptus Mechanicus... and Tau, maybe? Perhaps Sororitas too?

Anyway, give this game a try! It's a blast!

It's a fun racing game, but it needs to be a little bit more polished: the handling feels a bit stiff, controls are kinda clunky and the power-ups sometimes land and sometimes not (probably a hitbox issue).

The micro-transaction section is all that you've already seen: a lot of different currencies, FOMO, boxes and boxes, seasons passes upon seasons passes and things are extremely expensive.

It would be a very different beast if this was a premium game. A shame. :(
