A real solution was never really found, at least not one that I tried. The others in the thread offered a few but I never found out if they helped as I stopped playing for other reasons around that time. As for the SE, I have no idea. This was a problem encountered ages ago with the standard edition of Skyrim.

Hey man can I speak to you abou that strange brightness that makes skyrim SE unplayable?
