This game has shown great promise for its future. It has had a rocky start, but that is to be expected with a new MMO and even more so with a game that is still in its Alpha stage. I seriously recommend this game to anyone who is looking for something like DayZ but a little different with its own flare...in a week. You could buy this game now, but you may have issues getting into the servers. I'm sure this problem will be fixed within the week, though, so buy it then.

People seem to be critiquing the game because of the low amounts of loot. While they are too low at the moment, and the developers are working on fixing that, this game isn't about looting. It's about building, and once you get the few required tools you really have no use in looting anymore, and you should not be looting once you get to that stage. This game is about making a home in the forest and (if you decide to do so) fighting other people for their land, not endless looting and dying followed by more endless looting and dying. People need to get past the view that DayZ Standalone has placed where the goal is to just get stuff, and continue getting stuff, while leaving no mark on the landscape.

Quite honestly, this is not a good game. It's not going to crash or have anything brake on you, but the story telling is very bad and the combat system is tedious and abnoxious. I spent almost 40 hours on this game, and I cannot bring my self to play it again to finish it. Not worth any amount of money, even if it is on sale.

I've played the first couple of missions and I'd say the Metacritic rating is accurate. When you start playing, you play as a marksman who has to stealthily kill enemies to get to where you need to go, that part of the gameplay is pretty well made. But, I am currently playing on a mission where stealth and "sniping" are nonexistant. The game has totally thrown those two core elements out of the window and replaced them will assault rifles that have rediculous recoil that is not appropriate (take this from someone who has shot the exact gun they are using in real life) and and have no selector switches to swap the firing modes which only compounds the other issue. There are also numerous bugs that are very obvious and it puzzles me how they made it to release.

I got this game in a bundle for like $4 so I'm not all that mad, just very very disappointed. Suffice it to say I will never buy another game from this developer.

Great game! The combat is pretty solid and the graphics are great. DO NOT play this game alone. The AI for the girl is god aweful and makes the game near impossible to play and/or enjoy. If you have someone to play with, this game is amazing and one of the best co-op games I have ever played, I highly suggest it if you want to play a fun game with a buddy.

The peak of the modern day Call of Duty games. WIthout doubt every game after this just simply did not measure up to the greatness of this game and its predecessor.

BUT (and this is a big one) it is no longer safe to play on the multiplayer. People have been working for the past couple years and they have figured out a way to get into your computer and destroy it. Heed this warning and DO NOT play this game on multiplayer.

Phenominal game. This game (and its predecessor) are in my top 5 series that I would suggest to anyone looking to get into a great game. The gameplay is amazing and it gives you the feeling that you are in an open-world while still being a corridor shooter which is damn near impossible to do. The stealth gameplay is almost uncomparable in reguards to its accuracy to real life and the end fight scene was incredibly entertaining and intense. I cannot stress anymore about how great this game is and I suggest you pick it up as soon as possible.

This game is awesome; it's the video game that Duke Nukem: Forever should have been. It it sarcastic and and Sargent Rex Colt is a grade A badass that doesn't give not one f*ck. I strongly suggest this stand-alone DLC to anyone who has a somewhat dark sense of humor.
